R12 Eagles v Glenelg Sunday 1335

Postby DOC » Tue Jun 22, 2021 5:43 pm

Both sides had last week off. Glenelg beat North and the Eagles smashed Port.

Neither side should lose any to injury but both may regain players to make the selectors think.

What this game promises is a tough hard fought and nasty at times slanging match. Who will fire the first shot? Not talking about the match. Talking about the battle on here.

Glenelg have only won at Woodville 6 times out of 31 matches with the Eagles having won 8 of the last 9.

First time around Glenelg won by 5 goals. Accusations, insults, innuendo and the usual made up bullshit was a highlight of the round.

This time I hope everyone is nice to each other. Unless some retard posts some absolute crap then give it back with both barrels.

I'm tipping a draw.

Do your homework - wrong clubs.

Eagles were beaten fair and square last time, stir up your own paddock.

I only provide unbiased thoughts in a vain hope to generate some interest.

If we did not make comment on other clubs there would be no forum per se. So if you don't think anyone should post about other clubs, then I suggest you review your posts about North and their supporters and see if you are the pot or the kettle.

Do your homework ;)

Bays to lose arguably our most consistent player since June 2019 Michael Virgin to injury.

Pecker Park never a happy hunting ground for us.

And that was just between the Woodville and West Torrens factions

Eagles to win at home, thanks to the umpires
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

There are but two certainties in life: death, and getting rogered by the umpires at Woodville.

Does pecker park still provide nuisance wrestlemania-style commentary over the PA every time the Eagles kick a goal? If so then I'm very much disinclined to make the trip.

The guy is an idiot. Not sure who he is and whether he thinks he is being funny but he is a tool.

I have no idea why the Club lets him on the microphone - its an embarrassment and reflects poorly on the Club.

And this from an Eagles supporter

We had the same issue at Noarlunga 8-10 years ago. Very much like the basketball announcer. Cringeworthy.

This could be the first wet weather football weekend of the season. Does this change the balances between teams ?

There is a theory that Glenelg's game is better suited to the larger grounds, of which Woodville is one. Not sure how the weather will affect the teams, but it might limit the margin. If the Bays are going to lose a game before the end of the season then this would be the leading candidate.

Toss a coin.

Meh, ground size, one sided umpiring, dodgy ground announcers, bring it.
