Not yet but given there is a split round scheduled (Rd 17) over two weekends I would not be surprised if this weekend of games are postponed to the weekend of 31/7-1/8 and Rd 17 is played on 7-8/8.

Great planning by DC to give us this extra weekend up our sleeves to allow the season to cover this.

Plan B could (provided you all do the right thing), no training this week just play on Saturday. A Footballers dream!

Sorry guys I jumped the gun it took 20 minutes after the Premier was on the tv to be told the charity op shop I volunteer for jobseeker at is closed until midnight Friday . Should’ve realised SANFL and Afl don’t act that fast .

They should cancel the season with no winner.

Here’s the SANFL announcement

STATEMENT FROM SANFL

SANFL is currently reviewing today’s announcement by the State Government on restrictions and is gaining a greater understanding of the impact for this weekend’s matches.

Once further information is available, updates on all SANFL matches scheduled for this weekend will be provided.

We will be adhering to State Government directions to ensure everyone in the community remains safe and hope we can resume full activity as soon as possible.

It will be sort-of funny if AFL puts all games and players on hold and SANFL goes ahead. What happens then to their SA reserve teams ?

SANFL and AFL have not been granted exemptions to train at this stage

Oooooh ... that will get Koshy's knickers in a twist if his precious AFL Reserves (Magpies) are being treated differently to other AFL reserves. No a level playing field, indeedee no.

With the Grand Final scheduled for September 19th, they could probably afford to have a couple of weeks off and finish the season on the October long weekend like they use to - provided this Covid lockdown does the job quickly like the last one did prior to Christmas.

After this week all teams were rostered for a bye in the following couple of weeks. Surely they could juggle the draw so that the teams all have the bye this weekend.
Provided the lockdown ends next week, this week's round could be played on the weekend on July 31st and Glenelg vs Norwood and West vs Sturt be moved to the weekend of August 7th. In other words those 4 teams have their bye this week instead of August 7th. The remaining 6 teams have their bye this week instead of July 31st.
