South were absolutely dreadful last week after the 10 minute mark of the first quarter. Surprised that only one player was dropped thus far.
Adelaide lost a tight one. Will be able to play the three emergencies as well.
South by a point.

Liam Fitt and Ben Heaslip join Kim Kantilla as the three players dropped.
All three dropped for a completely sub standard effort. Kantilla lucky to be given a chance in the ressies.

Returning to what was our home ground for almost 100 years.
South would want to look after the pill a bit better than they did last week. Continually handing it to the opposition isnt helpful.
South to redeem themselves by 16 points.

HT
SA 3.5
Ravens 9.7
Barely competitive in that quarter. Could get very ugly after the break.

Thank goodness that’s over. So uncompetitive, very disappointing.
It’s time for Wright to go and the club needs to do it now. Something has to spark the players.
The effort just isn’t there at the moment and the game plan (is there one?) is awful.
Sorry to be negative this early in the season, but this is very bad football from South right now.

Bays at Noarlunga next week. You'd have that one chalked in for a win.

Uncompetitive, flat, pressure and intensity no where today.
A putrid and embarrassing performance today.
Looked like witches hats after half time.
Up there with one of the worst loses I’ve seen for some time.

The heaviest defeat and biggest score conceded in the Wright era, which commenced in 2018. South’s first loss of 10 goals or more since 2015.
39 scoring shots in this ‘modern day’ of defensively minded football really is obscene.
Surprised the club found 5 to name in their best, those being Sam Skinner, Hayden Sampson, Ely Smith, Eamon Wilkinson, Joseph Haines
Interesting times ahead.

The first quarter I thought South looked pretty good, but you had the feeling the Crows running power was going to be too much, and so it proved
The Crows were also getting the ball out of the centre too easily, and mistakes caused by pressure were creeping in the longer the quarter went
Fortunately I didn't see the last 3 quarters on SANFL Now
Like others I was / am hopeful that South will be around the mark this year, and while its disappointing, whinging supporters as per many on Facebook don't help at all - yes I've been supporting South for 50 plus years as well
Our top end talent should match up with most sides, but we seemed to struggle for depth the last two weeks
I thought Liam Fitt looked good in the reserves from limited opportunities, hopefully returns to league side with some confidence and assume Heaslip will have benefitted from a run around in the reserves
It seems we desperately need our younger guys to improve with experience over the season
Always look forward to next week, bring on the Bays
