Nice to get the win, going to have to lift a couple of cogs for the finals
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

after souf kicked the first goal of the third qtr a 10 goal win didnt seem likely, after that we did as we liked.

looks like it is up to the gfc to stop an afl side from going top...................again!

Confident we will beat Adelaide next week.

Hope you’re right, then Centrals can knock them out the following week…

5 goals apiece early in the third in what was looming as an arm wrestle before the visitors raised the white flag. A meek end to a poor and very tedious to watch season.

Clavarino, Brooksby and Haines named the club’s top 3 contributors.

On a positive note the weather was wonderful and it was a pretty decent crowd (3200ish from memory…3100 of which were supporting the home side).

A far from ideal end for Matty Broadbent, who was crunched in a tackle early in the match. Was then caught holding the ball from the subsequent dubious free kick before hobbling off (concussed presumably). Gibbs had one of his better games of the season, and Rose was serviceable. All will be missed.

Will be interesting to see what happens with Wright. Not sure of his contract status. 6 years at the helm for a couple of prelims in 2020/21 and a 5th placing in 2018. 56 wins, 3 draws and 51 losses in that time.

Agree with Clavarino. He was a thorn in the side of Glenelg's forwards all afternoon.

Will Brooksby play on? easily one of the best players in the comp in the past twenty years. Still monstering most SANFL ruckmen but will he play on?

Finally watched the game after watching Willunga torch black and white witches hats at Goolwa on Sat

My highlight was Hosie's tackle in the first quarter at CHB to cause a turnover and rebound shot on goal (deserved a goal but was only a point). Replicate that in big games and that's the stuff that wins GFs. Example Riewoldt's tackle in the 1st qtr of the 2017 GF...

Before you clowns jump up and down, I'm not saying that's what is going to happen but its an example of the team first footy Reeva has brought to the club and that's what wins finals - well it is what won Eagles the grannie in 2021!

A good win to get some of our early to mid season mojo back with reward for midfield pressure and turnovers.

If there votes votes arent Allen 3, Gibbs 2 and Lyons/McBean 1, there's something wrong
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
