before i wanna say what im about, i just wanna stress that this bloke is a peanut.....


what i have found intrigueing the last week or so, is that im assuming mathew has some sort of addiction, i.e drugs, alcholism... and fair chance he would have depression.... what im trying to get at is that every man and his dog (including me) is getting stuck into him for his silly behaviour, BUT when someone has a go at ben cousins alot of people get there back up... whats the difference??? there both wealthy people who have all the help they want but carry on like idiots...

I think that people should lay off him to be honest. Hes been diagnosed with mental illnesses. My Dad had severe mental problems later on in his life, and I sure as hell wouldnt want all his problems broadcast worldwide. Does anyone really think he needs the extra issue of having his own reputation, and the reputation of his family being dragged through the mud.

Think of it this way. If you're brother, father or son was going through a difficult time, mainly due to mental health issues, would you say the same shit as you are now. I doubt it. You would want them to be able to get the help they need in a safe and private setting.

Im not a fan of Matthew Newton and dont rate him as an actor. But I think putting his mugshots and video of the assault on the internet and news for the world to see is just gonna do more damage than necessary. Im sure the media cant wait for him to snap under the pressure again so they have another front page story.

Leave the bloke alone to get the help he needs before he necks himself.

Someone in his position who can afford to have the best care should be getting it. He is obviously a danger to the community and should be detained until the illness is managed. It should be in s hospital but if it has to be prison then so be it. He has had enough chances. IMO.

No NO NO!

This is half the problem. Why is it that someone who needs help has to commit crimes against innocent people before admitting they need help, or seeking assistance?

I have no problem with people with mental illness. I do have a problem and would have a REAL problem if I was a victim of physical abuse because someone wasn't seeking assistance or dealing with their mental illness in a proper fashion.

In this instance, the poor hotel worker gets smacked in the face by some drunken bum and the guy gets off scot free because he's mentally struggling. That's not the way it should be. If you are sick, don't drink! Seek help and stop beating some poor bloke up that's trying to earn his 8 bucks an hour by working all hours of the day and night.
