Problems I see in recent developments:

-Whole cast in every episode (I only wanna see Disco Stu & the Sea Captain every now and then!).
-Special guest stars every week.
-Homer more and more annoying and just dumb - I just don't feel for him anymore.
-Too contemporary - references to current stuff means it will date badly. It works well when they look back at golden times, like the 80s for eg.
-Voice changes - Moe sounds completely different!!
-Scripts are predictable, lame and unfunny.
-Smithers & Burns 'relationship' has lost all subtlety.

Used to be my favourite, now I can't bring myself to watch it (new episodes anyway). Futurama kills it.

i love futurama...fry is just like a skinny homer....id hit layla too  [/b]

I made a Futurama points chart for my classroom the other days - the kids are obsessed with it. Anyway, while surfing for pics I was amazed and not a little disturbed by all the 'fan art' (read 'porn wank fantasies') of Lela and Amy. Lela is pretty sexy though.

Hooray for Zoiberg!! I mean Zip Zap

Other Simpsons sins..

- Clips shows, too many of
- Now Lenny and Karl are doing the Smithers and Burns act
- Bart strangulation. Not funny and overdone.
- A reduction in social commentary in order to fit in even more unsubtle American humour.

Bring on the Simpsons movie and put the series on the shelf.

Simpsons (up to a few seasons ago) was good.....Seinfeld is better. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

No contest. The Simpsons is the best show ever, Seinfeld is ******* crap. Futerama and Family Guy are better than Seinfeld ever was. The Family Guy is the only animation that I can watch with the sound turned down, the animation is so funny!

Both top shows, but seinfeld takes it out for me.

We can relate pretty much all life situations to seinfeld in some way.
you can't do that with the simpsons.

the simpsons is just good to talk about and rattle of funny lines.
