By the way, YTT confirmed. Johnny Young won't be hosting it (bit old now). He'll do behind the scenes stuff. Some names mentioned as possible hosts have been Tim Campbell, Anthony Callea, Eddie Perfect, Jamie Redfern or even a female (Danni Minogue maybe?)

None of those potential hosts seem that inspiring. Tim Campbell has already failed as a host on a couple of other programs, Wheel of Fortune being one.

Perhaps Daryl Sommers will get the gig :D

I have been watching its a knockout episodes on youtube and bought back some great childhood memories of getting up early on a saturday morning cheering hard for the SA green teams!! Special guest referees such as Doug Walters, Simon O'Donnell and Lisa Currie-kenny. The late Ricky May had some pretty funny comments as well.

In the early '90's they also showed some eps mid-afternoon during the non-ratings period. I've watched most of the ones on YouTube - great fun!

So it appears Rob Mills might have the Young Talent Time gig :o (not sure if Paris Hilton will make special guest appearances).

TEN also looking at a morning breakfast show which I think isn't wise because Sunrise and Today are fairly entrenched, and viewers generally don't watch TEN for current affairs (although breakfast tv perhaps comes into the category of light entertainment/current affairs).

The interesting part of it, is that it will be filmed in Kuala Lumpur, NOT Australia.

The reason is two fold:

- Cheaper production costs
- OH&S laws are more relaxed there, so some stunts that may have been difficult to film on Australian soil will be able to be done there with less problems.
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

Woohoo. HG will be outstanding as the commentator.

Be interesting to see how they factor in WA (and Tasmania if they're included) in the series - will they have 5/6 teams per ep or will they only have 4/5-6 states on each ep.

Looks like 10 are using the low-risk non-ratings summer period to test the success of IAK. If it's successful, I'd expect that it may get a run in the ratings period (similar to how Nine revived The Price is Right in the 1990's).
