Is True Detective the one with Woody Harrleson and McConaughey?

My missus has the first few episodes and seems to really like it.

Not sure about that.
When I heard about Breaking Bad and its theme, I instantly thought about Weeds - "hasn't this been, sort of, done?"
Secondly, The Wire was magnificently hyped and it didn't let me down.
House of Cards has been hyped, that hasn't let me down either.

I saw the start of the Corby programme after watching MKR with Miss 041
We agreed: Just another drug courier who got caught.
I walked out after 5 minutes and Miss 041 turned it over

Even more anti-Corby as I am reading this book at the moment: http://www.maxim.com.au/archives/3316

Watch House of Cards.
Brilliant, sinister and there's some nice scenery throughout.
Enjoyed ending of ep 10 of season 2 ;)

if you arent hooked by the first ep of the newsroom you probably wont enjoy it, it sets up the whole series very well.

true detective currently ranked second only behind breaking bad on imdb, which is decent for a first season of a show. hoping to finish HoC then squeeze in true detective before GoT starts
