If you're thinking of checking out "Death to 2020", my advice is find something else. Seriously unfunny stuff, and very disappointing given the calibre of people who made and starred in it.

Didn't see them - reckon they must be really, really, really short. ;)

I saw it this morning but went for Full Metal Jacket instead
Very safe choice. Still one of my favourite films. Some fantastic lines

Watched this after reading through this page to find something to watch. Astonishing that that occurred in a courtroom. I looked it up on wikipedia and some of the details highlight on there are shocking. Glad the decisions were reversed and i hope that judge never heard another a case.

First half of Full Metal Jacket is intense and as full on as a film can get, always felt the second half (when they're in Vietnam) wasn't as engaging.

Yes, it's got some absolutely classic lines. "No boom-boom with soul brother!'

Again, not on Netflix (Prime Video) is 'The Marvelous Mrs Maisel.' A very funny look at a Jewish housewife's accidental entry into the stand-up comedy circuit in late 1950's New York. Great characters and top-notch production values that recreate the era perfectly. Also intersperses real characters from the era in the story, like controversial stand-up comic Lenny Bruce. Highly recommended.

If you have Prime, check out the Wonderful White's of West Virginia. Basically a real life American version of Houso's. Quite entertaining.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep

No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Lupin

Quite enjoyed it, the dubbing at times was horrid. But you do get over it.

I'm sure someone else has beaten me to this, since I've only just started to watch this, but how good is 'The Mandalorian'? Just completed season one, and very keen to binge season two.

Stronger

True story of Jeff Lauman and his story from the Boston Marathon bombing.
Jake Gyllenhaal is the main man here and does a solid job.
Enjoyed this one. Good to see the otherside, as we had Patriots Day with Wahlberg from a law enforcement perspective to this, a citizens journey.

It is the best Star Wars content I have seen, easily better than the prequel and sequel trilogies and IMO has made up the complete mess the sequel movies left the franchise in.
Season 2 got better and better each episode, the last episode was incredible.

Didja finish it? I'm watching episode 2 as I type this.

Naa mate .. Ran out of steam early in the 2nd season once we knew they'd cancelled the series. Shame, could have been an excellent series I reckon

Well I ploughed on, watched an episode here and there, and had a bit of a break between the 2 series. Finally finished it tonight.

It took a while to really get going, like 2/3 of series one, but from that point it was full steam ahead. A lot of time early in the series was spent with these 8 folks slowly realising that they had a psychic connection and learning how to handle it. Once they had it sorted, everything got excellent. When one was in a predicament, each of the others would leap in with their own abilities to help out. Each of them brought disparate skills to the cluster: a cop, a chemist, a bus driver, a safecracker, a kickboxer, a hacker, an actor, and a DJ; the synergy was fantastic.

There were some parts where credulity was stretched, even within the unrealistic premise of the show. Particularly towards the end. But I can overlook this; by then I was too involved to care.

It is a real shame it was shitcanned after 2 seasons. I could watch this for a lot longer. Highly recommended.

Into the wild.

True story of a kid (early 20s) graduated high school, from a family that is quite well off. Gives it up to follow his dream of idealism.

Not bad, 6.5/10 Sunday arvo style time waster.

News of the world
Tom hanks in this movie set in the years just after the civil war. He travels from town to town delivering the news as the title suggests while also on another journey.
Tommy is suited to these roles.

7/10
