Hope you’re right but that’s a stretch.

Geelong the only chance of knocking you out of second spot. They've got a dream run and might make up the %age if you drop the Collingwood game.

Brisbane have a very tough run and will drop one or two so you'll finish second unless Collingwood beat you and Geelong belt the bottom sides they've got.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

*sigh*

He asked where they could finish and how far can they go?

They're sitting 3rd with equal best percentage and have a nice run of soft and tough games ahead with the toughest ones at home and a fit list with the most damaging attack and in form.

Shrugs shoulders.

I think we should finish top 4, but the pessimist in me thinks we might not fire a shot in the finals. I am not convinced the three talls in finals will work when the ball will likely be on the ground more from finals pressure vs regular season when there is more run and carry.

You shouldn't miss top 4 now and should be thinking second spot is up for grabs, beat Collingwood and top spot could be yours ( Collingwood play Fremantle, Brisbane, Hawthorn and Adelaide ) if Collingwood drop one of them and lose to you.

I can’t see you “shrugging your shoulders” if they meet your prediction ;)

I think Gold coast and Geelong will go past them given their softer draws and gold coasts game in hand against Essendon at home.

5 losses :

GC 1 point
Geelong 19
Fremantle 18
Collingwood 10
Hawthorn 3

You've lost to 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th and the biggest margin being 19 points. The win over Brisbane as much them floundering late as you were holding on so while it was a win 1,2,4,5,6 have had your measure.

My real gut feel is you'll fall into the spot Port have been for several years, very good minor round and just short when push comes to shove. Here's hoping anyway.

The injury list is probably what's keeping you right there, your "next" in, particularly if one of the tall forwards goes down drops away very quickly. Midfield can't afford to lose too many, not much at SANFL level that keeps you at that level. Bit of defensive cover with Murray and Borlase.

Providing it's not pissing down then you three talls will continue to work in unison.

Geelong are the main competition for 2nd spot.

AFL rigged them a dream run home

St Kilda
North
Port
Essendon
Swans (a)
Richmond

Will have a monster % at the end of the year

Burgess our next forward…yuk

Think our midfield and defensive cover is good

Smith
Dowling
Crouch (returns this week)
Bond
Nank
Edwards
Pedler
Draper

Cook, who i wouldn’t have played, showed there are players capable to fill a need
