Clubs holding picks 1-5 would receive and extra end of first round pick if their pick moves due to a bid.
With Cochrane and Walker set to go 1 and 2 it pretty much guarantees that those with a pick in the top 5 this year would receive an extra comp pick

When Tasmania come in, second round of the draft will start in the 40's

Absolute clownshow of an organisation

I'd give every club (1) free rort that can be used on a academy rort or f/s selection outside the draft

then its a clean draft from there, Eagles pick 1 can pick whoever is left over, no matching bids, you get your one free rort, use it wisely.

Overtime I think it would even out

Should just stop playing for points.

The AFL and AFLPA have presented the new illicit drugs policy based on twice-yearly hair testing for all players.

In the event of a positive test, a rigorous stepped process will follow.

If a player continues to use and all attempts to engage them in the framework fail, the club president, CEO and GM of football will be informed.

Those people are not allowed to tell the senior coach and fines of up to $250,000 and de-registration sanctions are in place if they do.

But familiar criticism will follow the explanation of a player absence for substance use.

“Unavailable” has been set as the only language that can be used.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

I'm sure that it's been released at midday on the day of the first match of the round is purely coincidental and will not result in this story being lost in the weekly news cycle of footy by 7:00 pm tonight....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

So, as GM of football, my no 1 draft pick from last year is now 'unavailable' but I can't tell the coach why?

You reckon the coach might figure it out?

You reckon the media might figure it out?

You reckon the public might figure it out?

**** retards the AFL.

This

If the pressure is too much to handle get out and do what you have to do to cope "with this thing called life" *nods to Prince*.

No different to not having the skills or physical abilities to play at that level if your mental fitness doesn't allow you to cope with being a professional athlete. it is not for everyone.

You're getting paid 5 x the national wage to cope with those pressures.

PS same argument for that 'tard Spiers (you're not getting the best part of $400K per annum to snort coke as opposition leader)

Not hair testing but mandatory testing yes, wish they did hair testing as it is the most reliable source to detect drug use
