Similar to the SANFL poll, but probably easier to predict with most of the lists made up.

New AFL expansion: Victoria look to have team in final by 2008
Monday, 26 September 2005

The Australian Football League has announced plans for a first Victorian team to be included in the Grand Final in as little as three years time.

“This will never truly be a national competition until the Victorians are part of it,” said AFL chief Andrew Demetriou. “And not just as hecklers.”

The AFL hopes to transplant a successful franchise from Western Australia or South Australia into Victoria in the hope of developing a competitive football culture there. “It won’t be easy,” cautioned Demetriou. “It will take years and years of draft concessions before these clubs will be able to stand on their own.”

“Thankfully, the priority pick system will deliver them those draft concessions for the forseeable future.”

But supporters of the targetted Fremantle football club are passionately resisting the move. “You can’t uproot ten years of tradition just like that,” said one enraged fan. “If the Dockers move I’m never wearing green, white, red and purple ever again. Probably not a bad thing, when you think about it.”

For their part, Victorian clubs deny that they haven’t been competitive recently. “The battle for the wooden spoon has never been hotter,” said Carlton President Ian Collins. “And don’t tell me the spoon isn’t worth anything. You can earn a buck or two out of selling it, easy. Another couple of million more of them and we might even break even.”

Isn't it great to see that no one thinks port can win the flag...........Well no one thought so when i last checked. Some poor sucker is probably dumb enough to cast a vote for those wharfie scum bags.

I picked Geelong just to ruin Wedgie's hopes - I notice that no one has picked the reigning premier yet - just confirms my opinion that Sydney's premiership this year was the biggest fluke in a long long time.

yeah but at the time of this post, 34% of people have voted for adelaide. don't get me wrong, i think they'll have a good year (finish 3rd to 6th) but for adelaide to have the most votes is a bit rich (imo)

Although I like the crows I dont think 2006 will be as good as 2005. They sort of sneeked up on everyone last year. Maybe played above themselves a little with the new appointment of Craig, etc..? Other teams will be better prepared for them next year. A lot of video's will be studdied before next season starts. Power struggled this year because I think everyone was better prepared..? I hope I'm wrong. Go S.A. in everything...!
Smile :)

It's only Money $$$ :)

What is happening to our SANFL guys...

Being a Crows supporter I'd like to think Adelaide, but in hope I have gone for the Bulldogs, because they are most of the reasons why I still watch AFL.

My thoughts precisely....

Is there anyway we can weed out these people and publicly shame them for being morons?

Perhaps I'll start a "wooden spoon thread" or a "who will win their first 5 games and then lose the next 10" poll.....at least they'll poll well then...
Don't play games with a girl who can play 'em better...
