3rd for clearances behind Geelong and Port.

Goldstein 4th, Simpkin 13th, Anderson 26th in the league.

Difference between winning a clearance by a hack kick, compared to a clearance that you can get out to an outside runner. Numbers can be deceiving.

Absolutely, when Port have been beaten this year we've won clearances or broken even but the next possession has been under pressure.

$200k-$300k pa a year for a depth player at a contender would be pretty attractive I would think.

It would, but comes with baggage.

Paying say $400k for him to play elsewhere is a good result for all parties and sensible if it can be arranged. Its not like we are going to be using all of our cap over the next 3 years anyway.

At least you'll finally be spending some of that war chest.

PORT ADELAIDE forward Charlie Dixon has recommitted to the club after agreeing to terms on a three-year contract extension.

Dixon arrived at Alberton in the 2015 trade period and has played 83 games for the club so far in five seasons after 65 games for Gold Coast.

The 29-year-old has booted 239 career goals including 27 in 13 games so far in 2020.

Dixon’s contract extension will see him remain with the club until at least the end of the 2023 season.

It is, so I'll apologise to Ricciuto when I next see him.

Question then is, should he be talking about these offers he's privy too in public and will he discuss offers Adelaide, Sydney or Geelong players are being presented with?

I think it's clear he's happy to talk about Adelaide players! Well definitely ex Adelaide
If he knows about any other club I can't see why he wouldn't go with it being in the media and all.
But at the end of the day, Kane and Roo both have ulterior motives behind their stories and comments regarding Port and Adelaide respectively so there will always be that element.

Cornes isn't in a privileged position within club land though, is he? Ricciuto has access to information, player managers etc that Cornes doesn't.

Anywho, I don't think any of what Ricciuto has done will serve him well, he'll get to be known as a blabber and information will get fed to him that interested parties want disseminated, he'll not know the reason, he'll just get the information and anything of substance won't go to him anymore.

He'll get played and played again and again.

Not unlike a large proportion of media “reporters”.

Exactly, but they're reporters, not football bosses at an AFL club.

I'd say very little, otherwise it's pretty easy to trace the source.

Who were the two board members named by Dittmar regarding the 2012 B&F rigging story?

He didn't name them, just said it was two board members. Thomas ( CEO at the time ) and Rohde ( Footy Manager ) have both refuted the claim.

Basically Cornes had a $30,000 BnF bonus in his contract, Dittmar claims Ebert's was much higher and they made it so Cornes won instead of Ebert.

Surely this isn't true? Why would people like that risk their jobs for a few thousand $'s?
