I hate the co-captain set up, To me it stinks of not wanting to offend anyone.

Yeah I agree with you there. Don't like it but the crows have at least selected one good candidate.

Correct.
Sloane has a massive heart who epitomises what a captain should be and Tex........... well he has a pea heart IMO.

If you think an organisation which turns over many millions will not drop a captain to "not offend" him, c'mon...

I think I'll trust the opinions of Tex's peers than those of keyboard warriors who would have no idea of what it takes to be an AFL captain.

I’m sure the collective minds at West Lakes know exactly what they’re doing...

I’m entitled to my opinion as are you.
When Tex stands up on the big stage or even in big games(non finals), I might think differently.

Never said you weren't entitled to an opinion.

zero issue with co-captains (obviously being a swans supporter) but i believe the crows should have dumped Tex as captain... Has not performed really at all in well over a season and a half. Yes he seems like a good bloke, but if his last name wasn't walker he would have been dropped long ago. Let tex focus just on getting a kick...

Sloane is a brilliant choice and should have been given the job when Tex got it originally

I'm a card carrying member of the Taylor Walker not-a-fan club, but, given the circumstances that have befallen that club in the time since the Walsh incident for his peers to vote him the best captain in the league twice ( one can only assume through not only their dealings with him but with feedback from within the playing group ) I reckon anyone who questions the blokes leadership is so far off the mark it 'aint funny.

Question plenty of things about him, but not that.

Now, I'm going to have a shower in warm acid.

I'd agree with that if this was the first and only time a club had run with co-captains, but it's not, so I can't.

More so in the modern era where the off field demands of a captain are so high it's almost a no brainer to share that additional load between two men.

Still can't stand Walker but hey, not alone there. ;)

Define leadership?
Going missing in big games when required ain’t good leadership in my book.

Sloane too me is the better choice as captain IMO.

Your dislike for Walker is my feelings for the PAFC

I’m not a fan of co-captains either

Who should be captain then?
Who would you give the nod too?

Yes he has as have other players, coaches etc.
A horrid time that no one should experience.

But on field I don’t think he has been the leader they expected him to be.

I would have said Walker again but I get the feeling he wanted to hand it over.

This is why we can't, IMO, be critical of the bloke, it's almost impossible to measure a mans leadership qualities from outside the inner circle, you have to take the collectives view of him over your own.

We simply aren't involved enough to know what qualities any AFL captain has, we know there's a certain set of criteria ALL captains must have, he must tick some of those boxes.
