Yep, they have came out and denied them but they also said Boyd would not be leaving under any circumstances last year :D
It was McCarthy's managed who actually claimed he wanted out, wonder who is telling the truth?

Player agents are good and bad. They will always be a good source of information but they also feed the media crap to generate talk and then more so a bit of interest as well.

So what I'm saying is that its likely there is a bit of smoke about with this one.

One for Freo though, they would be falling over themselves for his services.

Schulz?

Increasingly likely to sign a one year deal at Alberton, I believe.

Interesting. That still leaves him in a precarious position regarding game time, doesn't it?

Actually, I think it might impact on Lobbe more.

That's a pre-existing condition, isn't it?

What role would you see Schulz playing with Dixon there?

I can see Ryder as the starting ruckman, Schulz playing his role at FF, Dixon being the high forward target, thus releasing Westhoff to perhaps even play on a wing or half forward, we know he has the mobility to do so.

Then when Ryder takes a break Dixon can ruck and Westhoff fall back into formation forward. I think a Schulz autograph is bad news for Lobbe.

All makes sense. Westhoff is an incredible bonus in that situation - a player who fills his role admirably, most weeks but can disappear if given strong attention by the opposition.
The only thing is, you haven't figured The Butcher into the equation.

Interesting to have Lobbe and Kreuzer in trade calculations...

would make sense that freo would be throwing everything at McCarthy instead of the stop-gap solution of Schulz.

And yep, if i was Lobbe i would be putting the feelers out about a possible move

tell them to piss off and get their house in order.

If the bulldogs and st kilda can do it, these basket case "big" clubs in Essendon and Carlton should be able to do it with their eyes closed

Mate, I'm out of shape (although, round is a shape), haven't played for 9 years but I would absolutely back myself to beat him in a "kick off" from any angle at 30m out.
It is frustrating as he has plenty of assets that could make him capable at AFL level. He times his leads well, he marks, he pack marks, he's a natural forward. He just can't kick.

Im short, slow and genuinely lack any ability but other than those issues I really could of made it at AFL level.

Dont put us in that basket, Essendon has never needed to request a priority pick and we are one of the few clubs never to have put their hand out for money from the AFL either.
That could change in a couple of years though ;)
