The only point I was making is that whilst westhoff is very mobile for a big man he still wouldn't compare to a lot of mid sized forwards, especially lynch who is probably one of the better ones in the comp aerobically. Says nothing about ability I would love westhoff in my team

Gave up 17 & 37 for Ryder
Would prob. have to do something similar for Dixon

That's four 18 yr olds you are going to miss out on for the future, to get two players, and one with a checkered history and dodgy ankle.
Do most of you Port people think it's worth it?

We'll give them a player on the fringe ( Moore, Young, Clurey ) and a pick I think. I'd imagine a player and a second rounder would be the go, they'll not play hard ball, he's leaving either way.

Our list profile is one of the youngest in the competition, our keys of Boak, Gray, Wingard, Wines, Trengove, Broadbent, Hartlett, Ebert, etc etc are hardly in dire need to refreshing and we used all our picks last year on young talls. I think we can go one more year of no first / second round midfielders.

Player and a second rounder is nowhere near enough for a player you are going to pay 700k a year for.

That is more money than Ryder will be on.

And Ryder was also leaving either way.

Would have thought first rounder and a fringe player would be more like it.

I think Port will be also receive with a late first round or second round pick for Jay Schulz, so that will also come into the calculations.

Yep, cant see Dixon leaving for under a first round pick

Wont alter Port's trading/drafting too much:
Dixon to Port
Schulz to Freo
Freo to find satisfactory compensation for the Suns, maybe Zac Clarke & their first pick or a Taberner, Sutcliffe, Crozier?

Port would throw the player in, Fremantle the pick, but I don't think Schulz commands a first round pick.

Freo give Port a second round pick, Port give GC a first round pick and player, Port end up with 2 second round picks to use in what is reportedly a very, very shallow draft.

Any chance Lobbe heads up to the Gold Coast and maybe Gorringe the other way is included in the deal?

Besides Lobbe, I don't think Port has anything the Suns would be interested in.

Does he still play?

I always thought Zac Smith was going to be the next big thing as far as ruckmen are concerned, they have a fair compliment of talls but none that set the world on fire.

Definetly not a late first round pick for Schultz!

If it's Fremantle he's off to, their second rounder which will be in the high 30's (maybe early 40's if there's loads of compensation picks for free agent moves ) would be about right I think.

There is also the possibility of him walking for nothing in the PSD, doubt him or Freo would go down that path though

Pretty sure Port will need to trade and trade fairly for Dixon, maybe even overs.Dont think he will get past Carlton or Brisbane in the PSD with both clubs needing that type of player.
Reckon Lobbe will have to go for Port to get the picks to satisfy GC

Think GC will want their first pick plus a player or second round pick. May even have to give up a decent future pick
