I've seen him a fair bit but I don't know where he fits in in the Adelaide line up. He's a half back flanker type. Just reading an article he's 187cm tall, so not key position but can run and carry the footy.

Exactly that. We certainly need more speed on the outside and off half back. Him or a Yarran type would be ideal to release Brodie Smith and Rory Laird through the midfield.

Interesting. What would we have to give you reckon? Reckon crows would argue for a third and GWS would argue for a second?

3rd rounder, he isnt in there best 22. Worth a punt as he could end up being alright for us.

Anyone surprised that the Bulldogs haven't come after Lobbe? If they did & offered their first round pick would Port take it you think??

I don't think so. Lobbe is one year into a 4 year deal, he's a vice captain and with the likely delisting of Redden due to injuries taking their toll it really only leaves us with Lobbe and Ryder in the ruck division.

Dixon, if obtained, is only a bit player in the ruck. Billy Frampton ( whom I like the look of ) is some time away from being physically equipped to ruck at AFL level.

The game is about to go through another transition with the sub rule being scrapped and I think Port may have preempted this with the Ryder trade. Some, not all, but some club like the Hawks will now play two ruckman more regularly.

So while the Dogs may have interest, I would doubt Port would let Lobbe go.

Crows now being linked to Paul Seedsman who has fallen out of favour at the Pies. Personally im a fan as he has speed and good skills. Another potential trade that would add needed run and speed out the back lines. Kangas interested also apparently.

yep, would be another good get to release smith (and to a lesser extent henderson) up the ground

Reckon he still has a lot of upside. Good size and loves a run and carry. On a wing with Adelaide's inside mids feeding him up he could do a lot of damage. At 27 though you wonder whether he's going to find much improvement.

I meant that in the context that Henderson can play full time wing rather than wing/half back like he does sometimes. I am a pretty big fan of henderson when he doesnt have to play one on one in the backline, because I think he gets exposed in that regard, but he uses the ball well, so on a wing he will be great.

Lobbe would be dope to not take the bulldogs or geelong number 1 ruck spot. instead play bench boy to ryder barely get game time, even go back to SANFL at least 5 times next season

So would I. None of them have won anything. So what's your point?

Obviously, it hasn't occurred to you that both White and Polek play on the wing. Watching Henderson against them would be like seeing Phar Lap racing against a glacier. That's all I'm saying ladies....

Different standard but when Henderson was at Centrals he use to win all their time trials by a mile and was regarded as being a great athlete
