Crows 2016

Talk on the national game

Like most PA fans, I love Butcher, but he simply isn't up to AFL standard. He's not better than Schultz, Westhoff, Dixon, even Dougal Howard so he can't be selected. He played a fair bit last year, no surprise that Port were very ordinary..
If you don’t like my words, don’t listen. If you don’t like my appearance, don’t look. If you don’t like my actions, turn your head; It’s as simple as that.

Brad Crouch and Rory Atkins are out of this weeks NAB cup game for failing to meet club standars.

Lol you must be the bloke also on big footy insisting its a smoke screen or cover up for allowing crouch to play SANFL and the reason why hes not playing the NAB.

Yeah, sounds like code for getting on the cans

They are two players that really can't afford to be doing that though. Arguably two of our most important players this year, as they are precisely the guys that need to step up in the absence of Dangerfield

Very strange to me why they didnt go for talia's brother despite the leaked talks

This current weakness in defense, is whats kepping them out of top 2 or 3 teams

Is a flag out of reach until lever or hartigan become rock solid bull dozers? :)

What drugs are you on? Crows are closer to their last flag than their next one. Hartigan is a hack, Lever has an unsound body, Talia doesn't hurt oppo teams and Mackay & Van Burntheballo wouldn't get a game anywhere else. Dreaming...

Obviously not the good drugs like yourself Ruban!

I think M Talia and Hartigan are very simular and M Talia most likely a starter for the Swans with Grundy/Richards coming to the end of their careers.

If Lever (12 games in his debut season coming off a new reco Ruban) and Hartigan can take the next step it does allow for Talia to be more attacking and add that to his game and hopefully we can stop leaking as many goals. Pyke will hopefully bring that ‘team defence’ the Eagles used so successfully last year which will only improve us.

Or just get on the juice at home. Or go to the race and not get drunk. That's the trade-off for earning 6 digit sums in your early-mid 20s.

This.

Surely the AFC wouldn't have a complete alcohol ban, so one would think the 2 lads just got merrier than they should have.

Agreed, think I recall hearing or reading somewhere last year that clubs don't usually impose complete alcohol bans, just try and restrict the number of drinks.
Besides season is underway, you'd think they'd be more disciplined - they had all summer to get their drinking out the way lol

Obviously it wouldnt be just having 1 or 2 cans at the Clispal. Most clubs wouldnt have an issue with that as I dont believe they have full alcohol bans. It seems normlly that it is players being out at certain times of night and excessive drinking. Im not suggesting this is what has happened just giving my thoughts really. But still if there are a set of team rules in place and these players broke them then this is the correct response.

Even if its a heavy reckon and making the asumption, for argument sakes only that some of the Jaench rumours are true, then perhaps they are trying to stamp out any further behaviour. Again I am only using an assumption to make a point and not implying anything.

I understand Jaensch & Crouch are good mates.... perhaps Crouch will loose his passion for the game & head to the hills as well?

Really odd especially for two players on the rise who would be out to impress especially with a new coach

I've only gotta read through my phone in the morning after a night on the gas to realise there comes a time in your session where you fail to give any f***s.

Definitely more to it. Tex and others from the leadership group were sinking cans in the Nova tent all day, so it can't just be about the two young lads being on the piss.

Rumour I heard was that the whole club said down and set a curfew, and they were out past that. So they weren't super pissed but still broke team rules
