It could be hubs in WA. SA for the rest of the season from r7 on if Marshall adopts exactly the same protocols as WA. Port could get last 10 games at home. Could just see them listing Coll home vs port away at Adelaide Oval not.
The only thing you can count on is the AFLs first thought will be whats fair for the Victorian teams. What can we do to make sure they arent disadvantaged and only after all avenues are exhausted will they think maybe a Victorian team has to play a home game interstate

The AFL are desperate to have Footy in Melbourne at all costs, however the costs could be the season.

Victoria are on the cusp of a lockdown at the moment.

If SA adopts the WA model and allows the exemption of AFL sides from Victoria, the we could see games at AO in front of crowds, brining in $$$, getting people back to work. But Gil can't see thst yet. Just wait for 25k at Optus in the next few weeks.

If the Vic clubs cant play at home then the season will get called off.

At this stage, Geelong v Collingwood at Optus are allowed a crowd of 30,000 on the Friday night, then the derby can have 60,000 on the Sunday as restrictions are lifted on the Saturday.

With Essendon playing the Thursday night and Melbourne on Saturday, expect the postponed game to be played the following Wednesday (July 22). Essendon will probably then play on the Sunday, and maybe something like Melbourne v Richmond on a Monday night so that Melbourne don't have 2 four-day breaks in a row.

Bonus points or 1st to 120 wins. some teams will be out there all day on current form. But i love putting the onus on the coaches to get their teams off the ground before they cook themselves

Watching the AFL this weekend and the SANFL it’s like chalk and cheese. The SANFL has been fantastic even though the skills are a bit rusty. Most coaches are trying to win rather than trying not to lose like their AFL counterparts

So there was two games this week that copped a bit for being boring, carl/ess melb/geel.
As it turns out i only watched the last qtr of both games and especially the last 5min were edge of your seat viewing.
So is the AFL happier to have these close games at 50-51 rather than a game of 110-80 where the game is a procession in the last quarter? The low scoring certainly creates a game where teams are always a chance.
I genuinely think the AFL sees low scoring (resulting in close games) as a positive for the "game". Problem is, whilst i enjoyed those last qtr's, people like me are going from watching the full game to the last qtr.

Takes the interpretation away from the Maggots too. I also think this incidental fingernail on the ball that leads to a score review should be canned, if a player snaps one from 30 out and it brushes an oppostion players finger stiff shit he wasnt good enough to stop it going through the big sticks, award the goal.

Anybody hear clarko in his post game presser? Basically said the games in a bad way. Hopefully with a coach of his stature saying something it will help change happen.
