This trade period is going to be crazy to see how all clubs get these players to the clubs they wanna go to.

Brisbane say no.

Brisbane have said he won't be traded. So into the draft it is then. Carlton or Essendon I guess.

Wondering if the AFLPA will step in here.

Surely it's in Brisbane's best interest to get something rather than let him go to PSD for nothing.

Nothing to do with AFLPA if a club doesn't want to sign off on a trade agreement it doesn't have to.

Even in form he is a sook. He will be an asset when everything is going ok but drops his bundle pretty quick

He'd fit in at Alberton.

Whilst I agree with you there, but the only difference is that he is hardly heading home hes just getting out rather. Perhaps that provides enough difference in circumstance?

Bit of difference between a "go home" premiership player leaving and a kid who has basically done nothing for the club but shitcan it.

Yep, wouldn't re-sign a contract, how pathetic

He went to a club and city he never wanted to go to, but didn't have a say in, and fulfilled his contractual obligation. Hard to see what he's done wrong there.

As Jim alluded to, anyone with contacts in the football industry has been hearing for ages now that Leppitsch's program is on the nose - Aish is just one of many capable kids trying to get out of there. Hard to think there mightn't be a bigger problem at play in Brisbane.

He is quite within his rights to not sign a contract offered to him, irrespective of how good or not the Brisbane lions are

He was never staying at Brisbane the minute he was drafted and never gave the club a go. Created constant speculation about his future there this year instead of knuckling down and having a red hot crack. If you cannot command a spot in Brisbanes 22 he clearly has the sooks up.

I'm not just singling Aish out, but any player who does this.

They know what they are getting themselves in for going into the draft. If what you are all saying is true, why have a draft at all?

I understand he was within his rights to not sign a contract, but tell them that at the start of the year and play it out in the QAFL so everyone knows where they stand.
