AFL Finals - week # 2.

Teams that have been bundled out in straight sets in current finals system. (I think)

2007 west coast 3rd, by collingwood 6th
2001 port Adelaide (3rd) by hawthorn (6th)

How could I forget us in 2001! Not on the boil today that's for sure!

Yeah WCE seems to be the last time.

So by those numbers its happened twice in 14 years (current system incepted in 2000?)

Doesn't look promising for Port/North.

As I said though- we are in as good a position as any to challenge the top 4.

I reckon there's a few Cats' fans with quivering butt holes that they may go out in straight sets. Especially to a team that has been described as "shite" & "pretenders" by certain Geelong posters on here recently ;)

yeah and I also said the hawks would easily beat the cats

so I got one right and one wrong

not too sure we would be too concerned going out in straight sets, I mean it wouldn't be ideal, but we are rebuilding afterall

Injuries cruelled WCE too that finals series. They had Chris Judd virtually on one leg from the opening bounce of the QF, and the game changer was losing Cousins to a hammy in the 3rd. They lost Hansen too in the SF IIRC. Fully fit side in that QF they would have done enough to get over the line against Port. Knowing what I know now I wish they did :(

North a big chance this week, depending on which version of North turn up and at what times of the game. The good North could topple the cats and the bad North could get belted. The problem for North is that sometimes both versions appear in the same game!

Even if the Cats get up this week I cant see them beating the Swans. They would need to smash North to make me think otherwise

Not I. I'm quite realistic and realise that we're not good enough to win a flag. If anyone here thinks it will be anything different than a Hawks v Swans GF has rocks in their head. As for North being a chance to cause some damage if they make a prelim, Bwahahahahahaha.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Would like to know what has changed since the last time you played Sydney and why you would be confident of a 100+ point turn around at the same venue?
