Could cost Goldstein the Brownlow......big Goldy leading by 2 votes into Rd 23 then Paddy goes bang with a 3-voter against the Cats!

Melbourne media are saying they hope karma hits NM hard. Its called player management.

That's a bit contradictory. It's only Adelaide whingeing, but Melbourne media calling for the Karma bus.

They're crying "poor Adelaide".

So you think Melbourne media are sticking up for Adelaide?

Wonder if all this could work into a Kangaroo victory got 10 blokes busting their asses to play finals next week and Richmond thinking they just need to turn up to win, we all know how mentally fragile Richmond are.

Don't think it's a good look for footy but the whinging is over the top, got to play and win next week, it's finals

I know KB and his crew were.

Eddie and Darcy were sticking up for North with the point I made above.

They're playing North Melbourne, it's a moot point.

LOL how is this even an issue.

Surely if you win enough games to play finals with rounds to go you are allowed to prepare how ever you like.

Different sport and stuff but we did this exact thing in the last couple of rounds of cricket, we knew we were going to be finishing second regardless of results so we swapped and changed our batting line up around (including our openers batting at 10 & 11) to make sure everyone got a decent hit in preparation for a tough finals series.

It was the best thing we ever did and we went on to win the flag with our number 7 & 8 both hitting fifties in the GF after hitting 50's from 3 &4 in the last minor round game.

Maybe if the Crows had won more games earlier in the season they wouldnt be relying on other results to get a home final.

And all this coming from the club that brought us Tippett Gate.

It's actually nothing to do with Adelaide.

Why people have brought them into it, I don't know.

Funny though, 632,409 topics and 1.6m hits on integrity in the SANFL forum.....lol's in here.

Of course, spud grade hard wicket is very comparable to AFL.

Hard to argue with your logic.
If you think there's an integrity issue in this situation, then conversely there's one in the SANFL?

I was just how in my opinion i could see why Scott would want to rest players and why he thinks this would be beneficial for his side come finals.

I'm not sure you're analogy's quite right, though, Whuffa. Scott's not playing Firrito at FF and swing Ben Brown to FB.

Of course it is. It's just broken the exact rule the AFL put in place to avoid this. That's all.

How could the AFL stop it.

If they tried to i have 0% doubt they would have got a club doctor to sign off on a medical certificate to say they were unfit to work.

Remember fatigue is a legal excuse not to work.

Or Scott could just claim to have 'dropped' them on form regardless of whether there going to win the bronwlow or not.

The AFL cant tell Scott who he can and cant drop based on form.

But that would probably be more dodgy as at least the players he has brought in will give 110% and have a crack in positions they know and play.

This is the league that has introduced COLA, priority picks, uneven fixtures etc etc claiming integrity on a club.

Its such a non issue, the Kangaroos havent even lost yet.

I think the AFL should be more worried about things they can control (this isnt one of them no matter what rules they put in place.)

Exactly. Whats better, the top players playing half arsed? Or the young players trying to get themselves in the finals team?

If that was actually the case you would rest them all through the season rather than all at once at the end.

Its not North's fault, its the fact that the AFL put in a rule to prevent exactly this scenario, and then still signed off on it when it comes up

Why???

They werent guarentted of playing finals earlier, now they are they have won the right to manager their players how they feel fit.

How can they not sign off on it. If they didnt the Kanagaroos would have came back with 10 medical certificates.
