come on whufc, at least put some effort into your trolling efforts.

of course Lyons is an average footballer - has the potential to be a regular in the best 22 but isn't there yet. but you can't have a team full of guns

Great news for the crows haters out there

Another genuinely average footballer stuck on their list

What a pathetic post

whufc might be a little harsh with his comments, but really not that far off the mark.

Lyons is no world beater and lacks pace, something Adelaide admit they need.

Granted he is not a jet but in my opinion he is more of a mid/fwd type of player and has potential to be a solid player. Probably not a gun but I think maybe your a bit harsh.

I don't mean average in an extremly bad way, I mean by the fact in AFL terms he is a very middle of the road footballer.

Doesn't really have any elite qualities but does enough to get on an AFL list

Imho if Lyons is in an injury/suspension free Crows best 22 then at best the crows will be a 7th-10th side

I wish I was an average AFL footballer, instead I'm a hack amatuer footballer

Exactly right, Lyons or a similar player has the capability to play a role for 3 or so games a season when you need to test your depth due to injury. If he plays any more than that and/or is in your best 22 it means you are really struggling.

Unfortunately at this point in time it shows where our list is. I would agree that our list could have us anywhere from 6th - 12th as it is at the moment. Players like Lyons (even with the 2 year contract), Mackay, Grigg, Brown, Laird, CEY etc are in a make or break year this season. I have a good feeling Walsh will bring the best out of each player on the list, but is their best good enough and can it be sustained over time.

Yep fair call. Always thought he was an average/ordinary type too, but from what I saw of the Crows this year he was miles off being their worst.

Do you expect him to come out say they have a crap list. When he's only doing the job part time, while he mainly concentrates on his study.
