You watch Hinkley's pressers?

Nah, I only watch the entertaining ones from Longmire... Just assumed he did as apparently that is the sign of a good coach and you obviously like him ;)

Ken does fun little hand signals after games though, so that's exciting...

Ahhh. so you're commenting one something you don't watch or know very little about? Good for you brother. Good for you.

Me, I watch all the AFL coach pressers on a Sunday night. TV is shit so I might as well watch something I'm interested in.

You’re in the extreme minority of the Port supporters I’ve heard & know. All the talk was top 4, have a tilt at the flag.
Missing the finals would be major step backwards.
And rightly so, they should be better than what they have shown. Question marks around the coaching staff now.

As it should be when you are capable of playing good football and bad football within the same game.

I do. Not his best one after throwing away the Hawks game by blaming the umpires.

I watched it, I don't recall him saying "We lost because of the umpiring", where was that part?

I've been saying this for 3 years.

"I’ve got a pretty big job as it is on game day to make sure I’m coaching Port Adelaide," he said. "I would suggest there’s some coaching needs to be done on other areas in that game today.

"I'm busy coaching Port Adelaide. It's a tough game to umpire. We review closely as a side and I'm sure everyone else does.

"There’s communication that goes on between every department in the AFL, and that’s another one of them, but the end result is you get a summary of what was good or bad, but it doesn’t really change what was good or bad on the day, does it?"

Pretty clear to me...

Wouldn't have lasted the last time everyone was calling for his axing if this was the case.

I always thought Port would win a few games they shouldn't and lose some they should've won this year, I didn't have high expectations, I bottom half finish and a full on attack for the holy grail next season was in my mind.

I guess he bought some time when he recruited heavily.

Not really, they recruited established, experienced players. His contract will provide him the time he needs anyway.

Anywho, plenty of scribes across the border have commented on the standard of the umpiring in that game.I don't think it cost us, our inability to move the ball forwards for an hour is what cost us.

Big few weeks ahead though. Richmond, Bulldogs, Melbourne.

6-4 now, I'd expect to be 7-6 after those three weeks and in the race for the bottom half of the 8 like 6 or 8 other sides.

With all 3 games at Adelaide Oval I think you would be wanting to win at least 2 of them. Dogs and Demons look most likely.

Friday night, Thursday night, then Friday night again puts Port well and truly in prime time.

Richmond more getable than Melbourne IMO but yes, I'd take 2/3 right now.

Richmond are getable away from the G. I agree though - we are unlikely to win.

Melbourne looking quite the force at the minute.

If Port tidy their disposal efficiency up they are every chance to roll Richmond at AO. If they play like they did on the weekend that will play into our hands immensely much like what Essendon did sat night. If they are tidy by foot they will cause us trouble I feel.

It's what I meant, if they are still poop at the end of it there will be no extension, he'd need to make a prelim by then.
