Bullshit. Matty Scarlett's episode has been the best so far, and he was hardly an outgoing character.
I enjoyed Scarlett's episode, one of the best, but there aren't many blokes on AFL lists at the moment that would speak as openly and honestly as that once their career is over anymore.

One thing I have come to realize in recent weeks is that I really like Mike. Guys like Hutchy I detest and I even reckon Barrett is a nob but Sheen researches and makes interviews and stories about the person it should be about. He unlike the others isn't a self absorbed twat

One thing that puzzles me regarding Salmon is how he managed to make Hawthorns team of the century, after playing just 4 seasons with them. Yes he did win 2 best & fairests with them and made the 97 AA team- but surely someone like a Peter Crimmins (their B&F medal is named after him!) Should have taken the last interchange spot...2 x premierships with the bombers and was leading goalkicker for a few seasons in there, yet wasnt considered in their TOTC.

Well I guess ones definition of good can vary (not directed at you beefy)

Considering Bob Keddie, Leigh Matthews, Peter Hudson and Peter Knights were the b&f winners in Crimmins' time at the club, i would still say he was a good player (you dont have the stature of crimmins if you didnt have some ability), just the aforementioned names were outstanding.

This isnt to say either that Salmon wasnt a good player because he was a fantastic forward / ruckman. In my opinion though its easier to be a good player in a tough era (i think the hawks were cellar dwellers during salmons time at the club) that a b&f winner in a great side.

Anyway no debating will change it, i just think it is interesting.

Looking forward to monday nights episode.

Watched Salmons show today. It was another interesting interview. After listening and watching Garry Lyon and James Brayshaw several times in the last week I really enjoy a journalist who doesn't put the spotlight on themselves and gets the most out of his guest
