An honest defender who plays a lot taller than he is, kicked 3 goals on debut for those playing at home.
When he said at his press conference he cant even bend over to pick up his daughter and would have no quality of life if kept playing, I really doubt he will ever play footy again.

In the mid-season rookie draft, the Swans picked Michael Knoll from South Adelaide. 205cm 26 year old ruckman

The Swans have used their second pick in the AFL mid-season draft to pick speedster Cody Hirst from the TAC Eastern Rangers.
The 19-year-old was regarded as one of the Eastern Rangers top draft prospects in the 2018 NAB AFL Draft, but an injury early in the year wiped out his season.
The 178cm forward blitzed Steven Hill's agility test record twice, and has pace to burn - his defensive pressure is regarded as elite, and averaged 4.5 tackles per game.

My main memory of Adam Goodes was the 2003 Qualifying Final against Port Adelaide at Football Park. Port were minor premiers and expected to make up for a disappointing 2002 finals series by easily accounting for the Swans. It was Fathers Day, so I took my two boys to the game full of optimism. Adam Goodes almost single handedly dismantled the Power in one of the best individual performances I have ever seen.

I'm pretty sure everyone should watch it because while this is about Adam Goodes, it isn't actually about Adam Goodes.
It's about all of us.

That was amazing... the win and his performance...
He's had so many great showings, but the 2012 GF, played on one leg after tearing his PCL is my favorite. No doubt he's played better games, how he influenced that game considering the pain he would have been in was excellent.

@wubsy- have you happened to read Roosy’s book yet? I’m sure you have, I started it on a flight to Sydney a few days ago. Impressive so far. Like that it’s not a normal footy biography, but would have liked to hear more about his own footy playing career. He was an excellent player in his own right.

That's awesome to hear... So much respect for him. I really hope he can get back into the AFL... Shame we let go of him but I don't think we had any other options...

From all of Port's losses, trials and tribulations, this game scars me the most.
We were so far ahead of the rest of the competition in 2003. Won 18 of our last 20, hadn't lost at AAMI stadium since R2 of that season, spent the last 11 weeks of the season on top and to not even make the GF that season still hurts. Roos and Sydney completely dismantled us in the first half and we probably made the scoreline look better than it deserved to be, had it not been for some injuries tiring the Swans players.
