Neale should have been even money to win. Most predictable Brownlow ever and well deserved

At least Boaky was runner up to get my exacta over the line.

10 BOG's in a 17 round season, crazy stuff, his numbers were still pretty good in games that he didn't poll in.

Neale was always going to win the Brownlow - best player all season.

I wonder though, recent years the votes have been staggering.. wonder if the media focuses in on a player too much early stages of the year and that personally is suddenly in the subconscious of umpires during games - tend to notice more.

Swamp put up on twitter how many players got 3 brownlow votes but didnt poll a vote in the coaches award...there were from memory about 9 of them...

No atmosphere, having to present the medal to yourself - really great format...

Yep, far less bullshit. Some Port nuffies were whinging that C7 missed the first few rounds and missed out on seeing Boak get some early votes

Unless you're playing a drinking game, who gives a f***?

Apart form that bit of course, would've felt like a fair knob presenting yourself with a medal, I would've taken the piss and given a fair 3rd person speech.

A bit Pi$$ poor when you have to present yourself with your own medal

Surely in QLD they are not that strict on rules that someone could have presented him with his medal.

Looked very Amateur hour even we don't do that in the Adelaide Footy League.

Players can be in football combat for two hours and hug each other after winning a Prelim but we can't present a medal.

Seriously we need to get over this and move on and get back to normal life.

30 seconds before he put the medal on himself he shook Fagan's hand. Was a ridiculous look.

Yes exactly. We thought Fagan should have presented it, was sitting 10 metres away!!

On that, congratulations to Lachie Neale, and well done on winning the Brownlow.

Personally you think they could have got a previous winner or club legend from each club to be at the virtual sitting (eg like they do with the AFL cup) and had them present to the player if they did win.

Would have been good to see a Simon Black, Michael Voss, Roger Merrett or someone like that present Neale with the award.

Reminds me of when Chick Hicks won the Piston Cup.
