North should take that deal.

Yeah, nah.
You think JHF is going to be better than 4&12 this year and another top 4 pick next year?

You watch SANFL?[/quote]Yes, plenty but I don’t believe 1 player is better than 3 especially 2x top 5’s and another under 15.

Who's the other pick tied to?

Just checked it out, tied to Melbourne so what is potentially on offer is the following:

2021 - pick 4
2022 - potential top 4 pick and potential pick 16 - 18 (Melbourne likely to do well next year as well).

I mean it's a good offer it's 2 good first rounders and meh end of first round probably. But not sure it would get the job done. Unless next year is a super draft then that might get them thinking.

So North aren't actually in a rebuild then?

If you got the chance of getting three first round picks for 1, you'd jump at it. The kid is a gun, but mids are a dime a dozen and as a Carlton supporter I know full well 1 no 1 pick doesn't maketh the team.

If it was 3 top 10 picks then we would take it I reckon, however with one of them linked to Melbourne 2022 performance there is a good chance it will slip to the 20's.

Crows are offering it cause they know he wont come home, very loyal kid who is already looking forward to the move to Melbourne.

They would've put that very question to him at interview.
His answer have convinced them he's a one club player.
Two first round picks, if you get it right is a handy leg up.

The thing is, not a lot of kids go to Melbourne and not enjoy it. When it's up and going, obviously not now, it's an amazing city to be in. Not easy to get SA talent back from Melbourne.

The crows have gone hard knowing he could very well be a once in generation player and good on them for trying and being bold.

I agree with you about the picks, of it was 3 x top 10 picks then that would be different to what it is now.

I'd be concerned that North were the last club to speak to him

Bobby Hill from GWS has requested a trade to Victoria. Apparently has spoken to 6 clubs with Essendon currently leading the race.
McCartney v Dodoro round 4 here we go :)

Effectively 4 this year, (about) 1 (bottom) , 8 (Adelaide) and 18 (Melbourne) next year and lose 19 next year.

So this year they'd have 4, 20, 40 and change.

Next year 1,8,18 then whatever.

Potentially 5 top 25 (probably to 30 with academy etc ) picks in 2 years.

The kid looks a freak, but 5 top 30 picks, that builds lists. Good play by Adelaide and well played by North to let it go.
PAFC. Forever.

With those numbers, to me, North get a fair leg up.
If they went for it, could set them up nicely.
But if they picked 3 duds could break them.
Faith in scouts would have to be top notch.
