And, for the record, I haven't shared the pics/video/memes or posts about her, nor seen her name. But, I bet, like yourself, I've read the posts and possibly even commented. There's no point being self-righteous, if you've been on social media you've probably seen it and even incidentally contributed to the frenzy. We're all part of it, in some way or other - even if we're commenting here.

As such, the best of the material/footage is already taken and despite being the first professional on the scene they are perhaps within minutes reporting on second hand news.

Makes you wonder, who'd be a journo now then?

I dunno, who would be? lol

Best thing that could happen to this girl is to be named and shamed. Hopefully sets her on the right path in life instead of this (portrayed) angry young woman

Socmed? Sounds like what a Port supporter would use once a month to save money on disposables.

I think balanced discussion is alright. We all might be part of a socmed, but we play our individual parts. I've actually been heartened by many comments on here, as it hasn't degenerated into the regular competition of who's the more disgusted, and who can think of the worst punishment for her.
The media dropping in at her house fuels that disgust IMO. I think the discussion on this board is a welcome change.

Don't call it this board, let's be lazy and shorten it to safoo.

Collingwood of 2010 and a lot of 2011 were the best side I've seen in my life and Swan was a big part of that, I'm still not sure what's happened there since.
From what my mate said when he met Swanny in Bali earlier this year he's a very easy going bloke to get along with.
Great career champ!

I hope it's not forgotten by port Adelade. I've seen the film and comments online .
I saw the father of the girl crying his eyes out don't crucify her he said or close to that .
She should be set as an example banned for life from Adelaide oval and port Adelaide membership
To show people you can't do stuff like this no matter your race or how well off you are .
Sorry if that offends people but if she can walk away with nothing done to her she's learned you can do anything and get away with it .

I agree that the conversation here has been balanced.
However, have a look on FB and some of the stuff said about this girl - it's horrendous.
I'm not absolving the media, as there are some absolute bottom-feeders out there, but I think it's time that the public realised the role they play in these things and look a little bit deeper than just blaming the 'media'.

Just in from police media:

"As a result of standard inquiries made by police, an expiation notice for disorderly behaviour (licensed premises) totalling $543 has been issued to a 27-year-old woman from the southern suburbs."

Geelong 2007, Essendon 2000, Hawthorn 1989 and West Coast 1994 all better for mine. 2010 was more about the coaching rather than the overall brilliance of the team.

Combination of things but I saw a lot of them that year and I've never seen anything like it, made us look like reserves grade despite us still being a great team and being reigning premiers. Will never forget the Prelim final especially. I said to my kids at the time that I couldn't see anyone coming close to Collingwood if they kept playing like that, luckily they slowed down the next year.

For the last time in the foreseeable fuchia, here is this weeks changes, Carey might just blow all over the screen before jumping on a plane to the Gold Coast such is his desperation to see the Bonner.
In- Snelling, Austin and Bonner

Out- O'Shea, Neade and wait for it...... The Toump.

Is this the end for those 3?

The toump will be there next year, but you would think the other two might be in strife
