Be a great shame if that was the case.

How is that possibly a slur on Buckley?

Well its not exactly a complementary comment is it?
Maybe I'm being a little precious cause deep down I know he could go to Port and possibly get that elusive premiership medal.

He's already got a premiership medal, he won it in '92 with a magarey.

Nice try.

Try? No, he went very well, here he is with the Jack Oatey Medal, and Jack, to go with his Magarey and premiership medals. Looks quite happy with his premiership, doesn't he?

Interesting that none of the main stream footy media have spoken about Michael Warner's book about the AFL the boys club

If he gets weeks then it sets a bad precedent.
No more running in with the flight!
More injuries from players pulling up trying to avoid collisions.
Can of worms.

There's no if. He will get weeks.
The unfortunate part of it is Mackay should have not protected himself and he would have got off but likely would have got injured. Instead he was the smarter player and will get 3-4 weeks out of the game because of it. On the other hand should he have pulled out, Nicksy would have retired him on the spot. Either way he was doomed in that contest.

I'm waiting for the day someone goes to take a hanger and knocks the player in front out with a knee coming into contact with the head, lets see where the "duty of care" goes there, or similarly a player injured in a marking contest such as the one taking by Jack Riewoldt couple of weeks ago. It's going to happen, just a matter of when and will be interesting to see the AFL reaction.

Similarly say McKay misses the St Kilda player and takes out his team mate who suffers the same injury, what happens in that instant, probably nothing

He's off the ground and his shoulder hits his head, I appreciate the fine line in attacking the ball but the simple matter is he hits him in the head and he chose to bump.

The impact sends him off the ground, not sure he jumped in the air to initiate the contact.

Mackay only left the ground once contact had been made

This is another Steve Hocking shocker
