I can just see him shielding his eyes from the bright light as he emerges from under his bridge.

Listening to Kane and Rucci discuss the Howard deal made me realise how much of a yes man Rucci is to Port Power. He'd defend anything they do.

Anyone hear Cripps last night.
Defended the Howard deal by saying he wasn’t in Ports best 22 next year.

I have no issues with them wanting to trade Dougal Howard if they don't think he's good enough and they can something of value, but how did he explain the trading out of pick 10 for pick 12. That's crazy when you are going to use it on a draft pick. Surely they could have got pick 18 as a straight swap for Howard.

He went on to say he has assessed the talent in the draft being quite even. So to trade off an earlier pick for two more early in the draft was a good thing. I feel the kicker was Howard not being in the team at the end of year. I'd rather have him at Port than not. Howard is a known quantity as far as football talent goes, so my guess is there is more to this than is being revealed.

I find this odd Howard is a bloke that can hold his own down back and swing forward if needed to.

Not many blokes can do that, which makes me think there is alot more to this than what we all know.

Wasn’t he the boat driver when Wines got hurt?
Perhaps he was fooling around which led to the injury

Not sure if already posted but I’ve heard from a couple of different Port blokes that Howard had a big falling out with one of the coaches...

Something clearly has gone down this year...you don't trade such a young, talented, fast 200cm KPP with 3 years to go on the contract otherwise or you don't play them in the SANFL either.
