Yeah I'm not sure why we kept both of them. I definately thought Callinan would get delisted. Can't see him getting many games next year.

everyone on here will now he's at AFC  ;)

He is overrated, as many people in the media pump him up (as they do almost all players). I think he is a good player and very capable but definately not superstar.

Agree. I think Yarran, Garlett and Betts were overrated as a trio at Carlton, because they were three outside players you were too similar, whereas Geelong's trio of similar players (Stokes, Christensen and Motlop) are prepared to do hard, in-close work too.

Anyone else think Geelong could get good value by trading Varcoe, given they've got the three above players, who I reckon are all ahead of him?

Please Carlton let all 3 go then we won't have to play against them all at once they kill us every time with flukey goals like Fevola used too.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Yes. But Varcoe would have lost a lot of currency this season. As exciting as Trav can be, he has only ever given us one good season. Injuries cruelled him just as our investment in him was starting to bear friut. There were times this year when it looked like Tambling was running around in Cat colours.

Talk that Betts to get $500,000 and Thomas $725,000. Is Thomas worth taht much more than Betts. I know they are different players but.....

Both overpriced in IMO

Callinan does not have a contract for next year yet. Crows are yet to announce delistings

Unfortunately, spot on. The only thing he did right this season was apply some good tackling. Otherwise I think he was extremely poor. All year long it was, he'll be better for the run, he'll be better for the run but it never really happened for him.

How many years did Betts sign with the Crows for?
