The article is spot on. Most Collingwood supporters are acutely aware of how he really behaved at Collingwood at the end and what really went on behind the scenes. The man's ego knows no bounds.

Mick would be the happiest man in town tonight, $500k in the pocket and finally away from the rabble. He did the right thing and made them sack him

She's about right.

And, agreed, Q. You only have to listen to any interviews to know about his ego.
I guess, like Kevin Sheedy before him, there's only so many things you can say before people either get fed up with you saying the same things over and over again, or, instead, your ego has you thinking you're the smartest man in every room - it's one or the other.

I've said it many times, you like Malthouse if he's with you. Dislike him if he's against you.

Yes but lets look at that closely:
1. At the end of 2008 you've finished fifth, fifth, & eighth,
2. This after turning over your list following two GFs in 02 and 03
3. Mid 2009 you're told you're are going to get the sack from your position but here is a sweetner deal of "Overseeer of Coaches" (but with no authority') - just so the Presidents pet doesn't go to another club
4. You then you take your club to fourth, top and runner up following getting the "sack"

I'd be slightly dirty and miffed too!!!

Not sure who behaved more poorly Malthouse or Eddie/Collingwood back tehn.

Collingwood could see mick was coming to the end of his tenure 7 or 8 years ago.

Given Collingwood's performance since 28/07/2009, when Malthouse was coach, proves that Collingwood and you were/are 100% WRONG!!!

You know that's not how it went. Mick wanted out due to personal issues, but then backed away from the arrangements made for him.
