After Saturdays effort, let him go to wherever he wants and pick up a couple talls who actually try and mark overhead with two hands. The concussion incidents certainly woulod not have helped him with confidence but he has been doing this most of the season.

I cant believe the simple mindedness of people when looking at Tippets game. He works his ass off with multiple leads then gets half volley or floater delivery..... id wanna leave as well. How can you expect a FWD these days to out mark 2 defenders and a ruckman when the ball contunially gets bombed up the line? Adelaide has done it for years and continues to go inside 50 worse than anyother sides.

IMO he gets impeeded by other defendersadn unrewarded nearly more than anyother key FWD in the game. Saturday he should have had atleast 3 or 4 clear free kicks inside 50.

well said footysmart. hard to dominate when there is no room to lead, the midfield is under so much pressure they cant hit a target, and you have one of the leagues bet defenders on you.

Funny that some Crow supporters would be happy to get rid of him after a shocker, but if he plays a blinder, "keep your hands off our Kurt!"

FWIW, I think he's a gun.

FS, do you think he gets impeded because he does not commit to leading hard out of the forward line ? To me, he always appears to half want to lead, half want to stay at home and try out-position his defender which in the end achieves nothing. When he plays well and kicks goals he is either flying into packs or leading out hard. When he is half and half he becomes easy meat for his opponent and looks average. Your thoughts ?
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

The Crows should foster a deal with Brisbane to get Joel Patful ..... another Port Power mistake.
Crows need a tall key defender and I have always rated Joel as a player. Good pedegree too ( Pat Hall's grandson ).

He does do the half lead then push back into his defender type movement occasionally but thats often due to a poor kick to him. If he had half the delivery most other Key FWDs get no one would get near him and he wouldnt have to worry about body position. IMO you cant question his work ethic and with better ball movement he would be a far more effective. Lets not forget a FWD these days is often only as good as the blokes up the field that need to get the ball to him. Use cloke as an example, the ball moves slowely to him the majority of the time due to their game style, as soon as it quickens up being a final, bang 6 snags nothing the defender could do

No chance. Patfull won't be leaving the Lions in a hurry.
Although our 2010 best and fairest packed his bags pretty quickly!

Might get Polec + 1st round pick, but that's about as good as it will get for Crows.
I'm thinking maybe Aaron Cornelius or Bryce Retzlaff (our emerging key forwards) + 1st round pick.

Rightly or wrongly Tippett would hold more value in the market than Patfull .. I don't think the Crows would be looking to replace him with a bloke that has only a coupla years left in him.

As for the initial post referring to JP as a Port mistake, true they let him go, but all other clubs including the Crows (who had expressed interest) had the chance to pick him up but overlooked him.

You cant simply refer to player delisting or trading as a mistake without exploring the reasons why he was delisted.

Well you can, but you're comment means nothing in that case.
