They have still stuffed up plenty of drafts picks though.

Yep, in the last 5 years they have cocked up a few.
2007, Cale Morton instead of Dangerfield or Rioli
2008, Jack Watts instead of Nic Nat, Hurley, Rich and a host of others
2009, Jordan Gysberts instead of Talia, Lewis Jetta
2010, Lucas Cook instead of Smedts, Atley, Jacobs
Then they draft probably the worst ever footballer in Sellar this year aswell as that dud Chris Dawes
Recruiters have a lot to answer for at Melbourne

I think it's a bit if a career killer for anyone who takes over in a caretaker role too. It would only be someone who has no aspirations of being the head coach who would maybe consider it

I don't think the recruiters need to get all the blame.

It is impossible for all these top picks to be bad. The development and culture have more to do with it then the actual recruiters IMO

Bugger. I cant find who it was or when it was, but someone said Port had the worst list in the AFL. I think it was being compared to Melbournes.

Most clubs would have picked the same players, i don't think its the recruiting guys fault. No doubt IMO it is the development and culture that exists at the club that has led to those players not succeeding

I do know a few Demons supporters and they were devastated they didnt take Nic Nat.
I definately think their recruiting is ordinary, why would you take Sellar, Byrnes and Rodan?
I think Watts can maybe turn it around but needs a change of clubs, we will take him for a third round pick ;)

yes those three are ridiculous, but i am talking about the recruitment of the kids where the recruiters are truly marked. the three you mentioned wouldn't have been a recruiters pick, they would be the picks of the coaches such as Neeld and Craig i would have thought

Mclardy is the next to have to go. They need to start over from the top down

That muppet is half the problem at Melbourne.
Him and his cronies running a boys club down there is why they are in this situation now
