Sydney will be around the mark with there young players like Mills and Heeney getting games into them. Both are very good players and will start to get midfield time.

WB will be up there. Again some older players on the list but there core grunt of players are on the younger side. If Tom Boyd can take the next step from the GF then that forward line will be interesting.

The Crows in my opinion will be up there, not alot of turn over from that list and we havent seen much from there young drsfties yet like Milera.

I think the Hawks, Geelong and my Eagles will make the 8 but maybe not top 4. I thinkit will be very competitive with teams like St.kilda and Melbourne showing alot of improvement.

North are an interesting one, possibly missing the 8 or battling for a 7th or 8th spot maybe.

Always a minimum of 2 changes to the top 8 from year to year. North appear the most vulnerable, but history suggests there will be at least one more to go.

No Nic Nat all year, will make it tough for the Eagles I agree and North need to deploy the parachute now.

North out for the Saints at the very least. Maybe one of Collingwood or Melbourne for the Eagles. Cats and Hawks no certainties.

Can't see why Collingwood get the love, they've got nothing in the way of key forwards beyond Moore. Cox is an experiment and White is remarkably inconsistent. The coach must be questioned and if they think a Wells or Mayne "top them up" for a shot? Please.

Reckon it's more a case of they have cap room so why not. Surely they aren't thinking flags. Their team is still very young. Reckon they have overachieved at the start of the last couple of seasons which has raised expectations too far.

They don't look a better team than Melbourne or the saints or port so I can't see them making it

Bit of a misconception that they are a young group. They have 10 players 28-30, the most of any AFL list.

There are two clubs average age over 26, North ( 27.3 ) Fremantle ( 26.1 )

Port, Sydney, Carlton, Geelong, Essendon Hawthorn, West Coast from 25.0 ( Port ) to 25.9 ( West Coast )

Collingwood (24.6), Bulldogs (24.7), St Kilda, Richmond and Adelaide 24.8.

So while the 14th youngest list there are 6 clubs with more 18-22 year olds than them and they, as noted above have more 28-30 year olds than anyone.

How many of those were in their team? I reckon they have a lot of list cloggers that didn't even play much. Their list profile can change a lot if they turn a few of them over

Just read the article, those numbers are a bit misleading as they don't all add up to the same. Collingwood had played 35 whereas the crows had played 26

It was JZ's time 3 years ago Dutchy. Twice the onfield leader Swallow will ever be.

In 2017, if the AFL are going to crack down on the deliberate rushed behind, hopefully they don't take a sledgehammer to a budge like they usually do and teams are gifted goals with ridiculous decisions similar to what we've seen with the deliberate out of bounds rule this year. A bounce down on the edge of the goal square has potential, but not inevitable, penalty, that fits the "crime" better.
