What dead set wanker. Left the Bombers because he wanted a better lifestyle for his family. Great role model flog

Pretty sure he left the Bombers after they pumped him full of a substance that nobody could assure him would not harm his unborn child.

The club he loved and trusted had let him down and that's why he left.

And why did he leave Melbourne :)

He chose to join Port Adelaide for several reasons, on field potential, off field cultural programs etc.

Leaving Melbourne? Who wouldn't.

Nothing to do with his partner demanding he get out after yet another indiscretion of course ;)

You'll need to tell us what you know about that, you're clearly close to the Bombers so inform us.

Nothing serious, just a good looking rooster that had no trouble with the ladies. Liked to party and needed to get out of Melbourne.
We badly let him down though, no arguments there

Again, it's an assault and hindering police. Wording is important.

Assault and hindering police - depending on the severity of the assault that is a hefty fine and community service. Hindering can be standing in the way to block them or grabbing their arm. Even constantly arguing with them can be considered hindering police I believe.

Assault of police? That's big house type stuff and is entirely different.

Unfortunately the first thing usually dropped is assault police. Never understood that but sadly it does happen more often than not
I agree, I think its up to the cop to take it to court isn't it? If they couldn't be naffed and it was just a bit of argy bargy they do usually drop it.

Id be staggered if Paddy gets anything more than a fine and community service. Talks of careers being over and jail time, predictably premature.

Cops want it to go to court, and the judge usually throws it out first.

Listening to him on the radio its clear he isn't the brightest spark going around, however it is amazing that these guys get themselves in these situations, surely their head tells them to just walk away, any incident even small is going to get blown out of proportion by the media.

Im not really up to speed with the whole Ryder incident but the piece I did read said there were reports he was trying to break up a fight. Is that still the case, or was that just some initial damage control?

Based on what I've seen, read and heard:

carey is on the money. Brother and Cousin got into some fisticuffs with some meat heads giving Paddy a bit of stick. I think the brother might've bitten off more than he could chew so Paddy comes in to help out. Cops, rightfully, don't know who is instigating it and just want to neutralise the situation.

Paddy takes umbrage to the way his family were being treated by said cops and gets into a further scuffle (no punches) but gets pepper sprayed. Paddy is then arrested for assault on one of the other parties and hindering police.

OK, so on the surface just a typical Hindley St scrap that most people have seen plenty of times, but this time it includes an AFL player?

Didn't say it does, but I don't think it's has dramatic as everyone is making it out to be either.

Most people don't get arrested for assault and bailed for the " usual hindley st scrap"

Port fans will say its nothing
Crows fans will say its sackable

As always it will fall somewhere in the middle with a little slap on the wrist

Not sure if it's been mentioned already, but is it true both Impey and Trengove met with the Bulldogs over the weekend - Impey keen to follow Trengove where ever he goes?

Thick as thieves since Impey's old man passed away, wouldn't surprise me if they had.

Its an AFL so no doubt will get blown out of proportion.
