They did finish higher than 16 other teams and at least got to dance on the big stage, I'm sure a lot of the younger ones will have benefited from the experience.

It risky, live by the sword die by the sword. They kind of are risking ending up a bit like the Crows, not reaching the ultimate success and then having a serious rebuild albeit the Crows is a lot to do with some of their off field management.

I just like the fact a club is undoubtedly trying to buck the AFL system and saying why cant we be at the top every single year. As someone who doesn't support a team I kind of hope Geelong do snatch one.

im surprised no one has mentiooned the one glaring chink in Geelongs armoury and they are not really addressing it and thats run from half back. Richmond have 3 distributors in Houli, Short and Baker.
Geelong have one at best with Stewart. There is no creativity in the back half with Taylor, Henderson, Kola, Bews and O'Connor. 5 is way too many stoppers.
Maybe the intention is to play Smith back there? Clark needs to come into their team and maybe even Higgins can play off half back.

Cats allegedly offering Cameron $1m a year. I thought no one could earn more than the captain or is that just a myth?

No way do the Cats have that sort of money available in their cap however as I did say a couple of weeks ago he was moving for money more than any other reason

No surprises there. And given how he wandered off the ground after the GF, was like he was also saying farewell.
