So the Power trades approximately for Dixon as what Geelong traded for Dangerfield?
Have I missed something?

Quite different with the restricted free agency of Dangerfield, and, I think both Dixon and Port err'd by being so public with their comments about each other.Dixon says I want to go to Port, Port say they want Dixon, Gold Coast sit back like Dr Evil and pat their white cat.

Gold Coast knew Port had to pay overs ( and I think we did, but a second rounder next year can always be "bought" in a shuffle of picks with other clubs ) while Geelong knew they were winning regardless of what they gave up.

Port probably paid a little over, Geelong probably a little under, but that's the nature of player movement with and without the free agency complications.

That's what free agency gets you.

Danger obviously worth WAY more than what the crows got (though having said that I think it's about as good as they could have done really)

Hearing Collingwood are giving Treloars missus a job. Isn't that against the rules, since GWS set up Scullys family?

What?

I am saying that the crows could have commanded more for danger if he was contracted, as Dixon is. Imo dixons worth isn't inflated but dangers was definitely devalued.

For instance Melbourne reportedly offered picks 2 and 3 last year

Not sure it is against the rules, but they may have to include some of the salary under the salary cap, which is what happened with Scully.

But if she is being paid market rate I doubt there would be too many issues

Succint posts don't demote discussion, they can have the opposite effect especially when straight to the point and free of useless bullshit.

It all really depends on the poster and their style, doesn't it? Some can be informative, some can promote discussion, some can be very aggressive or just act like a knob.

Very subjective.

Depends how aggressive the posts are, how much the poster tries to belittle the other posters, or indeed just acts like a knob.

Very subjective.

No it doesn't. They can have the opposite effect too.

Some talk about Richmond putting an offer on the table fpr Lobbe. Concern is that Maric isnt getting younger and maybe only 12 months left. Looking at Pick 12.

Apparently the deal is done:

St Kilda give: pick 5, 24
St Kilda get: Carlisle, pick 14, 44

Essendon give: Carlisle, pick 25, 44
Essendon get: Bird, pick 5

Sydney give: Bird, pick 14
Sydney get: pick 24, 25
