Smith Thompson Mackay
Lynch Jenkins/Lowden Douglas

Jacobs Dangerfield Sloane

So that would be Crouch Douglas and Ellis-Yolmen and Jenkins missing from our 22.

Think Crouch will come in for wright when ready, and first in last out for Lyons and Grigg. Not sure if we can play Kelly and Cheney, both the 3rd tall, With Lever and Talia the KPP.

Henderson is fighting with Laird and Jeansch I reckon. Brown is the small lock down defender, where as Laird and Jeansch are creators of half back with Smith dropping back depending on the mid rotation.

We cant play Talia, Lever, Cheney, Kelly, Henderson, Laird, Jaensch, Brown and Smith in the same team. Too much defence.

They highlighted (while lining up in the back 6) are not defenders as such. Brodie Smith has been playing off a wing and Henderson, Laird, Jaensch are all attacking half backs. You only have two or three genuine "defenders" in a side (Talia, Cheney, Lever and Hartigan if playing) and the rest are there to create your run out of half back. There is a good balance there of defence and attack

Very unfortunate for Radar, glad the club has kept him in a coaching/mentoring capacity.

Crappy way to go out, I'm sure the club was telling him that it wasn't much point given its unlikely he would have been in the best 22 once he was back and also likely it was his last season anyway.

At his best he was very good. Also used the ball well than probably anyone else on the crows current list.

The club wouldn't have a say. Doctors told him to never play contact sport again. End of story.

For someone when he first got here wanted to chuck it all in and head home to Victoria he has done remarkably well.

Terrible luck for Reilly. A pretty good career with an unfortunate end. I'm a bit surprised more blokes don't wear some kind of head protection. A few players donned the lid in the late 80's and early 90's, Narkle, Hutton, Dunstall and Kemp come to mind.

I wore a headgear from about age 10 to 22 and I was concussed at least once a year. I found that the helmet protected against heavier knocks but i would be concussed after really innocuous ones. Lead to me giving footy away for a few years

Yeah the injuries are starting to pile up, thankfully our early draw has been kind or we would have been in a fair amount of trouble imo.

Having said that I have liked the work of our second tier and newer players this year. CEY, Kelly, Lever, Cheney, Laird to name a few have all held their own. Can't really name too many passengers this season, save for a woefully out of form Jenkins, and Cameron in a couple of games, but you would expect that from a young small forward.

Not really sure who else on our list can take that kicking half back role though. Smith plays much further up the ground these days. Maybe laird?

Football skills are still a concern, too many short to medium passes are landing at the feet of the target.

Still very much a middle of the road team without the ability to kill off an opponent

Yep agree with that.

From here we should make finals though. I would be very disappointed if we don't.

Having said that I'm not confident of progressing at all in the finals.

You have been looking alright, whilst I don't think you are a chance for the flag, you never know. I think you could progress further based on what I have seen.
