I said it at the start of the week and I still believe it.
Don't sell the farm for JHF.
Let him sit at the roos in the VFL for one more year and get him in the PSD next year for free.

As for the likes of Rioli and Rata, meh. Would take them for late picks but don't want to really give up anything for them.
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!

I expect he'd also be happy to know he's locked into the Geelong system for 4 years and at 24 he's about to hit his prime.

Essentially playing two years for free

Well it probably extends his career by two years.

Every chance the Roos will have Pick 1 in next years PSD so might be risky if you want to play that game.

Agreed there is a degree of risk, having said that, I can't see the roos wasting another #1 pick on him knowing he would walk again.

Use a No.1 pick, in the PSD mind you, to make sure a club pays market value for a player who will be 20 and likely to have a 10+ year career ahead of him? Nah why would they do that. Should definitely just let Port screw us because they were too tight to pony up.

As we know he only wants to come home on his terms, homesickness is not an issue, let him stay at the Roos and back in Clarko to get him to stick over the next 10 months, worth the punt I reckon...unless Port come to the party

That’s what I’d be doing if I was North. You’ve got a “super coach” coming in, back him in.

Yeah, it's not like the rest of the coaches, welfare and support networks need to improve they just need a better coach and that'll fix everything.
