If it's relating to our soft draw at the end of the season that's nonsense... Our draw this year has been a tough one.

Easy tiger. I think he meant you are being allowed to fly under the radar at the moment. :D

Fair enough, still struggling with a bit of PTSD after last years finals series, but edgy this time of the year ;)

Cry me a river. You think 2007 was a long time ago? You're wrong.

Because the media hype is all about the Hawks, West Coast and how Adel are traveling.

Perfect conditions for a Sydney underdog finals assult.

Whether teams are being "hyped up" or are "flying under the radar" means absolutely SFA.
Does anyone honestly think a player lining up for goal starts thinking about these things on the ground. Too many other things going on to worry about media/fan speculation.
Every team is under pressure come finals.

its just another case of over analysis in modern football.

All the best to the big fella, I hope he's back out there soon.

I think they'll still be hard to beat on Saturday.

Not really what you want from someone into year 2/7495 year contract

No it isn't. I'm sure they knew before they got him that he had some baggage.

Agree, I'm led to believe this maybe some on going issues that weren't managed correctly by the AFL or Hawthorn

I feel for the big guy

I think they may not have been fully aware, a lot of secrets were kept

As do I. Really enjoy watching him.
Either the broom broke or rug finally got 2 small.
Hopefully Sydney get it sorted.

Disappointing he can't play, but his health is far more important than a game of footy... Hope he has a speedy recovery

I am still confident we can get the job done, especially with Fyfe being doubtful too

I think it's more to do with issues that Hawthorm were able to keep quiet and sweep under the carpet while the performances were there.

Hearing this scenario is allergy very similar to Ben Cousins and West Coast

Might be just stress related to the pumping his former team gave him in the GF last year and it all came flooding back when we pumped them again this year ;)

So what exactly are people suggesting here, everyone's beating around the bush somewhat?
Hope he can recover soon and give Sydney some return on their 100million investment.
Doesnt look like it will be this year that the Swans get one of the 2 or 3 flags that Buddy and Tippet were meant to deliver.

From what i heard, alledegly the situation is very similar to Ben Cousins in that it was very well known by the AFL and Hawthorn of the problems he had, a combination of his on field ability and his star power to attract people to games it appears these issues he was suffering from were somewhat hidden, swept under the carpet, not attended to as attently as they should have because of the overriding benefit to the other parties.

From what ive been told is that why there was always rumous persisting Sydney were assured by various parties that these rumours were nothing more than just rumours.

Imho this is gonna play out in a huge way and may see both Hawthorn and the AFL in some serious strife.
