Gutsy win after losing two key defenders and carrying two useless key forwards.

Great night for footy, shame about the result but came away from the game not entirely unhappy with the result. Fully expected a far bigger loss with the side we put out on the park but to their credit they had a real good crack and never gave up. Port with just a little bit too much polish tonight but im more than confident we can still win it. On tonights performance we are still good enough to finish top 4 and by then hopefully we are at full strength and can give it a good shake.
Had to laugh at the Port fans booing Burgoyne, think his premiership medallion more than justifies his decision to come over.
Was some good banter all night between the fans although the Port fans didnt see the funny side of Monfries getting heckled about his 2 year holiday coming up

The free kick count was 15-7 to WCE at 3qtr time.

Beams free kick in front of goal for no contact, umpire blew whistle before any contact made, followed by Your Ruckman holding his eye like it fell out. 2 goals for nothing, 8 point margin. 1 of 2 reasons. Most importantly both sides are 5-10 position on ladder and making up numbers. Any chance WCE could kick straight when we dominate the possession.

Just seen it and yep agree. But posting on a phone drunk doesn't help. Doesn't change my opinion if you don't honestly think Hawthorn aren't the most protected team in the comp. I'd love to know who is

WCE were on the good end of a couple of dubious ones as well. The Grundy one was deplorable, but to say Pies had a 'total free ride, all night' is laughable. In the end it was WCE's inability to convert from forward entries that was the deciding factor.

I'd probably worry about your so called forwards before pointing fingers at others.

Leading the Coleman he is going okish, kicked more goals yesterday than old Drew has all year
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Jack almost kicked more yesterday than he has for the rest of the season.
See how he goes against a half decent side, remember Kennedy also kicked 11 against that lot but couldnt get a kick on Goldsack last night.
I think you or I could snag a few against GWS!
But yes Petrie is garbage
