yep they get drafted as a category B rookie, which is the same as blicavs, irishmen, or basketballers.

So what would they be on a year?
what if no club wants the player? Who has to take the winner?
Lets face it theres not a lot of talent on offer.

Pretty certain Sydney agreed to take the winner before the show started

Rookies get 53k a year. If they get promoted to the senior list they get 59k plus $3400 per match

Every club will want him I think. AFL are paying his wages and all expenses next season. Cost clubs nothing to have an extra player on their list

presumably the draft just goes in reverse order until someone wants him?

and i doubt 60k a year for a rookie contract is something that they are even contemplating money-wise

Yep for sure. And they work as hard as anyone else. And don't get playing rights really, unless there is an LTI.

One of the big bugbears of cornesy when he was on air, and I agree with him

Johan. Him and morelo were the only ones that you can tell left it all out there and wanted it. But he is younger and quicker so has more upside.

Bradie could go as well though. Plenty of more speculative rucks than him taken before..
