well the two greatest players to play for your club in the past 20 years, and your best forward all came from the father son rule. so dont pretend it didnt help you.
but i do agree that geelong have managed their list extremely well
the fact that the crows havent had a single father son selection shows the rules were extremely skewed though.
There was a hard cutoff at 1990 which mean there was going to be a gap of 20 years effectively. The fact that bryce gibbs missed out on a father son selection was also pretty terrible.
collingwood, essendon, and the bulldogs have also done very well out of their father son selections.
anyway thats beside the point.
