Talk on the national game

Port won't use their first round pick on Lycett IMO (perhaps could be used as a bargaining chip as part of a super-trade, but I strongly doubt it would be a straight swap of Lycett for Port's first rounder.

Would probably consider second rounder and Newton, but not sure WCE would go for that.

Mason Shaw is contracted til 2015 I believe; if he did want to go to the Eagles, and Port were prepared to trade him (unlikely!), it would simplify things.

So, I reckon the likelihood of things happening is - stay at the Eagles 50%; Go to Port 35%; To the Crows 15%.

Lycett to Port for their first round pick(13)> WC use their first round pick 8 and maybe Schofield to try get Coniglio.

Why do you think this helicopter?

Stay at the Eagles 99.98%, Port 0.01%, Crows 0.01 %

Yeah, probably pretty close.

Thats not to say he would necessarily want to stay there - I suspect he'd leave if he was a free agent, but the Eagles would want more than both SA clubs would be prepared to give up in a trade, so yeah won't happen.

With Ports premiership window being the next 3-4 years, Lycett would be a huge asset more so then a developing First Round draft pick.
Just with Sinclair signing and stating that he would get more opportunities at WC. Hoping he stays, but not overly concerned if he goes. As long as we get reasonable compensation.

If NicNat or Sinclair goes down, then what?

If Sinclair signs on for 2 years- I doubt you will be playing just 1 ruckman..

Would have thought that clubs would like at least 3 recognised ruckman on their list to cover worst case scenario though.

NicNat is injury prone and Sinclair cant go it on his own. Lycett IMO is incredibly important to WCE- hence why I cant see them letting him go.

We wony get Ports first rounder. Would be nice but unlikely. Maybr a second and a player but gez I would like a bit more than that. Newton maybe. Moore maybe?

What about the crows. How about send us Mitch Grigg and and a second rounder. You guys dont seem to like him anyway

Both crows and Port are likely to go after Daniel Gorringe as well, will cost them same if not less.
