Not traded, we've got 1 x first, 1 x second, 4 x fourth round selections.

That's what we get for being so successful over a long period of time.

Grundy

We'd have the cap space but we don't have any picks to offer them, certainly not the #1 pick Adelaide can give them.

Pick 1 won’t be enough. Will need to be some cream added.
I still don’t think he is leaving though, I’m sure Eddie will get him a nice media job to supplement his Collingwood income

Agreed, they'd want #1 and someone like a Greenwood, or CEY, not a top flight but someone who is a walk up start.

We've never bottomed out, would you prefer that?

( Given there's no assurances you make your way back to the top )

Absolutely not, although it is frustrating continuously finishing mid table when we show the ability to match it with the best quite often but then lose in such poor form.

And with the draft, I'm not that big on it TBH, it's a lot of hoo ha over potentially nothing.
2018
#1: Sam Walsh (gun)
#5: Connor Rozee (as good as)
#12: Zak Butters (has missed only the one game, very serviceable)
#18: Xavier Duursma (very impressive)
#56: Marty Hore (outstanding)

It's a bit of a lucky dip, some early draft picks have had a good day here or there, I think it's more about identifying what your team is lacking and moulding a young lad to fill that role, Hore has been the recruit of the draft if you look at it from draft number vs input.

Even from the class of 2017 there were a few diamonds in the rough:
#17: J.Higgins
#24: T.Kelly
#45: J.Worpel
#57: G.Miers
#71: J.Ross

Raynor, Naughton. A.Bradshaw & Stephenson were all top 10 but not a lot of regulars in the top 20.

That's what I like to hear, these bold statements are gold. ;)

I refuse to even begin thinking about the possibility that a player might be moving until North Melbourne lodge their offer of $42 bazillion for 87 years.

Marshall won't be going anywhere.

As Dutchy says, Ryder's stocks are falling, not sure anyone would want him for one year.

If a cooked Hannebery can get a contract then there is always a chance that the Saints take Ryder [emoji23]

In a show of support and respect for AFL champion Adam Goodes, Hawthorn players will wear the number 37 on the back of their warm up guernseys ahead of their Round 14 clash with Sydney.

A documentary released earlier this month, titled ‘The Final Quarter’, details the discriminatory treatment Goodes faced in the twilight of his career, ultimately driving him away from the game.

According to Shaun Burgoyne, the playing group decided on the initiative as a public show of support for Goodes.

“With Adam’s documentary coming out, it was a good chance to reflect on where we are as an industry and where we’ve come from,” Burgoyne said.

“On reflection, clubs and players have come out and admitted that at the time, our response wasn’t good enough.

“Obviously we can’t turn back time, but as we’re playing Sydney in Sydney this Friday night, we thought it was a perfect opportunity to show our support for Adam publicly.

“We want to show that we’re all beside him, united in stamping out racism.”

Struggled to get 6 kicks against or B grade on the weekend. No chance he kicks 6 goals

Farewell match or are they that short for numbers?

He had one good game in a row but has done nothing in the VFL since.

Love the guy but I think the career has come to an end.

They had a skinny lad in the two’s that kicked 4 and apparently was excellent on the weekend. Ross or something?
