Just don't tell wubbsy he played his best footy at the crows

I had only a brief read about Tippet today but is it true Adelaide lost a first and third round pick because of Tippettgate in about 2013?
Can't remember if it's true but that could well be the difference between a premiership or not in 2017?

first and second picks for two years. and you are dead right, it could definitely cost us a flag. and we could have made a GF in 2012 too

we massively got screwed compared with mebourne carlton and essendon and what they had done

if it wasnt for brad crouch being a pre draft selection from GWS or offloading vince to get matt crouch we would have been royally screwed

How did it cost you a flag in 2012???

Agree. F..k the what ifs.
What if we had kept Bock, Davis, Gunston, Tippett, Danger etc and the lost draft picks
Fact is we didn't and sit a game and a half on top.

Still fail to see the love for B Crouch. Top bloke yes, reasonable player yes (although slow with ordinary footskills and injury prone). Matt Crouch has his own disposal issues, but he's done a fair bit more in a shorter period imho.

Compared to what Carlton copped (and years later are still suffering from), Adelaide got hit with a wet lettuce leaf.

What Carlton did compared to what we did was very different. They made under the table payments to four players. All the crows did was guarantee they could find Tippett some third party payments to a certain amount. Both are dodgy but we both lost two years worth of draft picks effectively.

At least you did something wrong when you were punished.

Don't forget Sydney went pretty much unpunished for the largest salary cap rort in the history of the game ;)

After hearing 2 Carlton legends describe what happened behind the scenes at Carlton during the early 2000s there was a hell of a lot more that went on other than the salary cap rort. This is never mentioned in the media and as much as he was portrayed as a **** and how he ruined of the Carlton FC John Elliot internally was huge for that club. It's embarrassing how they do no longer play at Optus Oval after all the money that was spent there and that was a massive money spinner for the club.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?
