The draw is too lopsided, teams should play each other once only to make it fair for them all?

I like this. 17 games plus finals is enough footy. With 5 less games reduce the lists by 3 players which would improve the standard of the AFL and State leagues

Say we play Richmond at home and then some spuds like Adelaide away. Doesn't seem even. Unfortunately there are 2 many teams as what you really need is a home and away against each team.

34 game season?

17 games would be, at a wild guess, those you play at home one year, you play away the next.

yep play a 34 game season, shorter games, get rid of pre season games, the players can have a shorter pre season like they want, have bigger benches so that you can rest players when the games are done and dusted. Play games every day of the week

This is sort of what I was getting at bit a 34 game season is way too long.

But that is the way to make it even across the board.

Yeah, I'm not sure how you fit in 34 weeks of minor round and then 4 weeks of finals ( 38 weeks ) plus at least two weeks off that the AFLPA would ask for (40 weeks). Means footy would start at the start of February and finish at the end of October, or thereabouts.

November, December and January off. Like the AFLPA would have that.

By playing every day of the week we can reduce the amount of weeks in the season ie get away from the traditional playing once a week, play every 5 days on average is 170 days plus finals. it is currently 168 plus finals so the season is exactly the same length. Players would love more games and less training. Its already basketball anyway may as well have a basketball like approach to the draw

Learn clearly carrying something or the crows don't rate Curnow and McKay at all.

Ed?

Charlie out for the season.

Not a bad move putting Keath out. No Curnow, no McGovern... we'll have a small forward line apart from McKay.
