Richmond didn't...

Yep and to be honest there performance against Sydney reflected that they were much more interested in Monday than the game.

Cant' have watched many Carlton games, it was either Simpson, Docherty, Cripps or Gibbs who had the ball. Not a bad idea though not watching Carlton tbh.

I thought I'd take the trade talk here;

I'm ok this time around letting Gibbs go. He's served his penance and played really well after being denied a trade this time last year. Pick 10 and a player or second round pick I think is ok. We can use that go get Schache and Kennedy. I still think Schache can be the goods and Kennedy will add depth to our midfield.

I'm really keen to pursue Lang from Geelong. We need outside speed and although he's not a top draft pick, he'll add depth to our list, which is still sorely lacking.

I wouldn't have minded Saad coming to the Blues, I see him as a replacement for Tuohy. Maybe Balic into our forward line?? Miles, Lloyd from Richmond? Daniel Robinson from Sydney?

Getting Campbell from the Bulldogs would assist in ruck and allow Kruez to go forward.

It should be an interesting week - 'moving time' perhaps?

Certain Gibbs will go now the Crows have some draft pick currency

In round one against Richmond, 2018

I noticed what appeared to be patches on the back of their shorts ?
If so , this is probably not the first time this perceived tactic has taken place
The great magpie man Fos Williams had little patches sewn on the shorts of each of the Port players in a final [1950s I reckon]
The theory was that the opposition players would focus on the patches and wonder what they were, thus breaking their concentration

I had always thought that Fos had used the patches on the shorts in the 1950s, but according to that wonderful historian Trevor Gyss it occurred during round 10 of 1963 when Port played Norwood at Alberton. Port had lost 3 games in a row and 5 of the first 9 games and were struggling for form. According to Mr Gyss the patches were to remind the players to concentrate and think of the club and try their best! Whatever the reason for the patches, Port who were out of the four at the time defeated third place Norwood by 57 points and never looked back. They only lost two of their last 11 minor round games, went on to be minor premier and easily won the premiership.

1963 was one of the most evenly fought competitions where there were only 3 games separating top placed Port from 6th placed Sturt in an 8 team comp.

I'll jump in.
Every time I watch Silvagni jr play, it amazes me he has been afforded this much time in the seniors. He is the pure definition of an outside player.

Where’s Lobbe at?

Cripps heading to the Crows next trade period?

About the right time for a coach sacking?
